I woke up this morning sore and in pain from yesterday's beating. What happened, you might ask? Well, I hadn't eaten in 3 days since my mom and stepdad love to torture me by starving me. I was so hungry that day that I decided to grab a piece of toast and an apple. Thinking I was alone, I grabbed those two things and went upstairs but right when I exited the kitchen, Adam and my mom were there. Turns out I was wrong when I thought I was alone. Long story short; I got punished for my slip up.
I got out of bed and walked over to my tiny little closet to grab some clothes for after my shower. After grabbing clothes I walked into the bathroom and hopped in. The water is cold because I'm not allowed to have warm showers, let alone hot showers. I wash my hair and body before stepping out and wrapping a thin towel around my body to dry off. I grab my clothes and put them on.

After putting on my clothes I make my way downstairs, only to find it empty. Usually, when I come downstairs I find either my mom or Adam passed out on the couch but neither of them were there. Going into the kitchen, I grab an apple before leaving for school. The walk to school is about 10 minutes and school starts in 15 minutes so I speed walk a little.
10 minutes later I finally walk into my school and go straight to my locker to grab my stuff before class. While I'm grabbing my stuff I feel like someone is watching me so I shut my locker and look to my left to see none other than my bully and his jock friends.
"Hey fatty" He says as his friends laugh. I try to move around him but he blocks my way.
"Trying to run away so fast. We didn't even get to have our fun, but I'm sure we will later." He says smirking before walking away from his jock friends following. I turn around and walk to my class, just in time before the bell rings.

I was sitting in my math class doing work when the intercom turned on.
"Liliana Kenner to the office please, Liliana Kenner to the office, Thank you!" The secretary said before the intercom turned off. I grabbed all my math stuff and put it in my bag before leaving the classroom. As I walked to the office, I couldn't help but think about why I needed to go.
I walk into the office and approach the secretary's desk.
"Hello?" I said.
"Yes, Liliana, you can go over to the principal's office." She said, simply nodding, I walked over to the principal's office. My hands were starting to get shaky and my breathing was getting irregular. Of course my anxiety was acting up.
I walked into the principal's office and the first thing I saw was a man in an all black suit behind the principal's desk.
"Ahh, yes. Hello Liliana." The principal said.
"Here come sit!" He exclaimed, pointing to the chair in front of his desk. I walked over to the chair slowly. Finally I reached the chair and sat down
"Now, Liliana I'm sorry to inform you but your mother and father have been found dead this morning." He said sadly. That's why they weren't here this morning. They were dead. I was surprised to be honest. I didn't know if I was happy or sad. What is gonna happen to me now?
