Hey, hey I'm back! Finally!
Well no more talk, lets get on with the story :)
(Ellie POV)
As we reached the clearing with the light tower, I looked around to where the relics were supposed to go. "I bags the crystal." Jak just shrugged and handed me the crystal. "Don't drop it." I rolled my eyes and headed towards the crystals area. "Oh yeah, I'll just chuck the crystal all the way to the stadium and pretend I tripped on a tree root." I said muttering to myself.
Placing the crystal in its hole, I turned towards the main part just in time to see Jak chuck the lens in.
"Ya know, talking to yourself is a sign of old age."
"Shut up Daxter."
"Ha! You didn't deny it!"
Finally the lens stopped spinning and the light shined towards Haven City and Jak's comm came out with Pecker's voice saying how it was thanks to him that we found the tower. I guess he had some part of it, but not much.
"Does anyone know how to get back?" I say as I had completely forgotten how. Both Jak and Daxter shook their heads. We wondered around for a bit until we found a cliff and the gate to the city was on the other side.
"I've got an idea but neither of you are gonna like it." Jak's voice sounded like we had no choice in the matter.
"Na ah. No way. We are NOT jet-boarding to the other side Jak." Daxter said, figuring out Jak's plan. Jak just smirked and grabbed me bridal style and jumped on his jet-board. Both me and Daxter screamed as Jak glided to the other side. I had my face buried into Jak's chest with my eyes closed until Jak got off his jet-board.
"Ya know, we're on the other side now. You can let go now." I glared at him and reluctantly let go of his shirt. "You do that again and I will kill you!" I said as Jak put me down.
"It wasn't that bad, was it?"
"YES!" Me and Dax shouted at the same time. "Whatever, lets just go. Looks like the light is headed towards the middle of the city."
As we headed towards the light (no we're not dying) we ended up in the middle of the city and stared at the broken statue. "You're saying that the tomb was right under Praxis' nose the whole time? How ironic." Dax says from my shoulder. "Surely when the statue was built someone noticed a big grey elevator door that is literally right there." I just shrugged as the door opened and took the elevator down.
As we reached the bottom, I noticed Kor, Samos Jr and Mar were already there. "Is this really a good idea? He's just a kid." I said, more to myself than to anyone else. But apparently Jak heard me. "It's not really our decision but yeah, I don't like it either."
As we reached the group, Samos spoke up. "You did it Jak, Ellie. You actually found Mar's tomb!" Jak didn't look or sound impressed. "Great, Now what? We just send this poor kid into a meat grinder?"
Before he could say anything else, Kor spoke up. "This is the day I've long awaited; to finally hold the fabled Precursor stone in my hands." So you don't care about a five year old boy you metal monster. It's been hard keeping that information from everyone but it would change everything. That, or no one would believe me.
"You must be cautious child. The tests of manhood are sure to be fraught with peril, and Mar's heir must face them alone." Great advise old man.
"It's ok kid! You can do it! It's just a deep pitch black sure to be filled to the brim with painful death old tomb... I wouldn't go in there." Nice going Dax, that'll give anyone confidence. Hint, sarcasm.
"Welcome heir of Mar. Finally the chosen one stands before me. Enter and prove yourself worthy to claim the ancient birthright." I watched as Jak slowly walked toward the door, almost in a trance. "No! This child is too young to face the tests!" Jak snapped out of his trance as the door began to shut. But instead of stopping, he grabbed my hand and pulled me under the door.
I could here Daxter say stuff about the sure to be filled with death part, but I was busy silently freaking out. I was in Mar's tomb. Just great.
As we walked down the stairs into the tomb, I wracked my brain, trying to remember everything about this mission. I remembered that one side was less dangerous then the other and was more of a memory test. I'm pretty sure it was on the right. Yep, cause the other side Dax gets chased by a big ass spider. So maybe we could split up and I could get the brains side. After all, Jak was the brawn.
I told him my idea of splitting up and he reluctantly agreed.
"By the way, could you please jet-board me to the door, cause I don't feel like swimming." I know there was swimming to come but at least I wasn't gonna be swimming with little metal head monsters. Just dangerous electric lasers.
As he dropped me off, I could see worry in his eyes. Not for himself but for me. "I'll be fine Jak, just focus on your own part of the tomb. I'll be in touch if anything goes to shit." I said, trying to ease his worries as well as my own.
I gave both him and Daxter the thumbs up and headed through the door.
A/N
It has defiantly been a while and I am sorry. But at least this chapter is reasonably long.
Anyway, I saw spidey twice, almost a third time and it was amazing! Loved it :) Since then I've watched Uncharted (which I also watched twice), Batman, Fantastic Beasts and Sonic 2. I love the perks of working at the movies, cheap tickets and cheap food.
BTW speaking of work, I've become a Duty Manager! More money but more responsibility. It it fun just to lay around in the office without getting told off as well. Yes I'm lazy but I've earned it:)
I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter, I had a lot of fun writing it and I look forward to writing the next!
Until next time... :)
