Chapter 26

We got off the plane and I was amazed. We were in Hawaii. This was amazing. I walked along with Joe to our rental car. He opened my door for me and I got in. There was men loading our stuff in the trunk. Joe got in next and we left to our honeymoon.

Joe pulled into the parking lot of a resort. It was so beautiful. We got out and got taken to a little cottage looking place. Joe opened the door but stopped me from going in. "Wait." he said.

"For what?" I asked.

"I wanna do this the right way." he said. He lifted me up bridal style and walked into the place.

I looked around in awe. This place definitely was amazing and it looked very comfortable. He put me down on the couch and leaned on top of me. "You can be very romantic when you wanna be Mr. Anoa'i." I said.

"Can I show how much more romantic I can be Mrs. Anoa'i?" he asked.

"If you think you can." I joked.

"Really? Is that a challenge?"

"You can call it whatever you want honey." I said.

He leaned down and kissed me gently but passionately. "How about we go check out the bedroom?" he asked.

"I think that's a wonderful idea." I said.

After we had finished making love we took a nap. I must have been asleep for a while because when I woke up it was almost fully dark. I got out of bed and walked into the living room area. Joe wasn't there. I looked around until I found him on the patio sitting by the pool.

I walked out there and he looked up. "Hey babe. How did you sleep?" he asked.

"Good but you didn't have to let me sleep that long." I said.

"You were tired. I wanted you to rest." he said.

"Well thank you but I really wanted to spend time with you." I sat down beside him and just looked out at the sunset. "It's so beautiful here. I feel like this is a dream. If it is, I don't ever wanna wake up."

"Why would you think this is a dream?" he asked.

"Because it's not every day that you find a man like you. You are so caring and kind and you see right past my problems. I am so in love with you I don't even know if it's able to grow at this point." I told him.

"It still can and it will over the years." he said.

"What should we do?" I asked.

"Do you wanna go to dinner?" he asked.

"Dinner sounds nice."

"Well go get ready and we'll head out." he said.

"Okay." I said. I kissed him and then went in to get dressed into a nice black dress. I put on my black heels and then did my hair so that I really looked nice.

When I walked back out Joe was ready and waiting. He looked up at me and smiled. "How is that you always look so beautiful?" he asked.

"I don't think I do. No matter what I do to myself I don't ever feel pretty." I said.

"Baby you're very beautiful. That's one of the many reasons why I love you." he said.

I smiled and kissed him. "You are really wonderful. I am so lucky to have you." I said.

"This is becoming a great honeymoon." he said.

Joe and I went to a nice restaurant and had a really good time. It was expensive but it was really good. Over dessert we had a nice conversation.

"So I didn't tell you but I found a home for us." he said.

"Where?" I asked.

"It's in a place that you've always wanted to live."

"Orlando?"

"Yeah. It's a good-sized house. A big back yard with a pool, a hot tub a big patio. It's a good house to raise a family." he said.

"Speaking of family. I hope you don't mind but I wanna wait to have kids. At least for a couple years." I said.

"Baby when you're ready I'll be ready."

"I just wanna live my dream for a while longer."

"That's fine. I'm putting any pressure on you." he paused. "I can tell you that when we do have kids, it's gonna be amazing."

"Yeah. It is. Our own little family." I smiled at the thought.

We finished dinner and decided to go back to the cottage. It was nice to just relax and get away.
