Luci's POV.
"Aw that's cute!" Harry smiled, pointing at a cute baby-grow, I nodded and pretended to be interested. We'd just gotten back from the first scan he was more than excited.
"You could be a little more enthusiastic.'' He sighed, running his fingers gently over a teeny, tiny baby grow.
"I'm sorry I'm so tired, I was up all night doing choreography." I yawned as I looked at the baby grow closer.
"Can we buy it?" I asked as I touched the tiny sleeve.
"Yes!" He beamed as he flicked through the rail for the newborn size.
"Look how tiny!" I smiled and he took it softly in his hands.
"It is very, very small." He smiled and pecked my lips.
"Can we get a comforter for him or her too? Like blankie?" I asked as we walked down the isle of the baby store.
"Yep!" He grinned as we stopped in front of some blankets.
"I like that one?" I smiled as I pointed to a oatmeal coloured, marled effect, jersey blanket with a little brown teddy in the corner.
"Yeah it's nice, I wish we knew the sex so we could get the blue elephant one or the pink piggy one." He smiled to himself as he put the blanket in his little pile.
"Yeah, when we know we can exchange it or something?" I suggested, resting my head on his shoulder.
"Yeah, I kind of like the plain one though." He smiled as he wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my head.
"Yeah it's sweet," I mumbled, enjoying his touch.
"It's so hard not to buy so many things!" He laughed, gently touching a box of pacifiers.
And in that moment, I realised, how perfect things are and how good I've got it. I'm getting a proper family for the first time and I'm complaining, I can be so blind to what is right in front of me sometimes, I'm having a baby. We are having a baby, together.
When we got home to Harry and Louis' flat, I was already shattered and fell asleep, almost instantly on the sofa.
Harry's POV.
"How was the scan then?" Louis asked as we sat together at the kitchen table sipping tea.
"Yeah it was good! We went to Babies'R'Us afterwards and got a blankie and a babygrow and she's gotten a little more enthusiastic." I beamed and handed him the photo of the scan and watched the smile form across his face.
"Look at my little godson or daughter!" He grinned.
"Looks like a tiny peanut though doesn't it," I laughed, Luci couldn't see the peanuty resemblance and got defensive saying how he or she is beautiful and doesn't look like a peanut, which is actually a good thing because at least she's feeling something towards the baby.
"Yeah it does." He laughed and handed me back the photo which I slipped safely back into my window screen in my wallet.
"Have you ever considered that Luc might have antenatal depression? You know when the mother doesn't feel any love towards the baby?'' He asked quietly.
"I don't know really, is it possible to get it when you're pregnant?" I bit my lip at the thought, thinking that instead of Luci just being stubborn about this that maybe it's something deeper.
"Yeah I think so." He sighed a little and stared into his mug of tea.
''I'll talk to her."
