Taehyung's POV :

" Hyung, you know I don't have time for those stuff. Finding Mate or falling in love is not my thing. I'm a King & my job is to rule & protect my kingdom . Not to go around looking for my mate .I have all I needed, hyung. I have you guys who understand me more than anyone. I don't need a mate . "  I said in protest of Jin hyung's nagging about me finding my mate . Jin hyung is the eldest among us , the 7 Vampire Kings. He's always caring , responsible & understanding. He's more like a father to us. Or mother. Idk.

" But the kingdom needs a queen. " Hoseok hyung said desperately. Hoseok hyung is also very caring & loving. He's a great fighter & can give his life for his close ones. He's considered as the sun of the vampire kingdom because of his cheerful self & his power of creating ray of hope in others minds . Even in toughest, darkest situations, he can find hope .

I know all my six brothers are tired of making me understand that I need to find my mate before my 1000th birthday but I was tired of their nagging as well. For the last 999 years , I'm living my life single & I'm doing great with it. I'm the King of the whole Vampire kingdom. I've everything I needed. I've power , respect , wealth & most important a loving family. A bunch of 'dear enemies' as well. I am content with all  I have .

" Hyung, the kingdom is doing well without a queen for the last 300 years . And it'll be ok without a queen for the rest also. And if there is too much need of a queen , we have 4 of them with us . They can handle the situation. Right? " I pointed out indicating Namjoon hyung's wife Ariana, Jin hyung's wife Rosariya , Hoseok hyung's wife Brianna &  Jimin's wife Elyna noona.

The all sighed at my words.

" Taehyung , you know what happens when royal vampires don't find their mates before they turn 1000 , right ? They have to go through immense pain which can even take their lives. It's dangerous Tae. Finding your mate & making her yours won't cost anything. Rather it'll save you from the pain & loosing your life. We're not worried for no reason . You've to understand even if you don't need your mate , the kingdom needs you. You can't risk your life for this stupid reason. " Namjoon hyung said angrily. But worry was evident in his voice more than anger .

His words somehow hit me . It was true that the pain is too intense that in can take a vampires life . That's maybe one of the reasons why mates are considered so important. Namjoon hyung is the wisest among us . His knowledge often makes me jealous.

" But I'm the king.  I'm powerful enough to endure it , hyung . " I said stubbornly.

" Don't be a kid , Taehyung hyung. " Jungkook said finally looking up from that human made time wasting device of his . What do they call it ? Cell phone right?

" Says the kid among us. " I replied rolling my eyes. Jungkook is the youngest among the 7 kings. And his attraction towards technology & human made things sometimes make me wonder why he is one of us . But the doubt clears when he proves himself in battle fields & every other job. The kid is expert in almost everything.

A sigh left my mouth as I hopelessly stared at my brothers. Only then my eyes darted towards someone who's been awfully silent & distracted all through the meeting. Jimin.

" Anything wrong, Jimin-ah?" I asked making him startled.

" Ah.. Nothing. Just wondering. " He replied making me sure about something being wrong but I didn't push him knowing he'll tell me when he's ready.

" So now what? It's only 2 days before hyungs bday. " Jungkook said tucking his device in to his pocket.

" Well it's kinda weird that Taehyung hasn't felt anything yet. I mean all the royal vampires live here & as Taehyung's turning 1000 soon he should be able to feel his mate. It's normal that his mate would be someone among the royal vamps. Are you sure you haven't felt anything, Tae? " Jin hyung asked with a frown.
