Chapter 4

The event is taking place tomorrow.
Ezra is currently visiting the venue with the event manager.

"And are the projectors all placed down?"

"Should be done by evening." The event manager replies.

"Alright if everything's all good in here then I'll return to office now, oh and also there maybe a few employees that might visit to check the venue let them in Elen will send you their IDs."

"See you tomorrow Ms. Dominique, pleasure doing business with you."

"You too."

Bidding goodbye Ezra gets in her car.

"How'd it go?" Elen asks motioning Nate to start driving.

"Good, everything is almost done and you have to send Eliza the IDs of the employees that will be visiting the venue today."

"Done, anything else?"

"No that's it."

"Did you eat breakfast today?"

Chuckling Ezra replies "Ohk one that's a bit unprofessional of you to ask but yes I did."

Elen rolls her eyes there's no way the unprofessional line was working on her at this point.

"Then let's catch some lunch your schedule is free till five today."

Shocked she looked at Elen "You're joking right."

"Take a look yourself." Elen shows her the folder.

"No way this can't be true."

"Well it is so stop wasting your time."

A bit offended at the fact her secretary scolded her nonetheless Ezra and Elen spend their afternoon at a luxurious french restaurant.

"Well then give it to me what's on the schedule at five."

"Just a recap look on all the files that need to be presented tomorrow since we need to do this amongst ourselves there's no need to rush."

"That does sound better than the last few days filled with meetings."

A few hours later Ezra's in her desk, Elen looks like she jumped in a crowd at a sale and the room's got hit by a paper tsunami.

"This is not what I signed up for!!"

Elen says smacking the 67th file on the floor.

"Technically you did sign up for this-" Ezra changed her sentence midway when she saw Elen's glare.

"-but yes I agree this is a bit maddening."

"A BIT!?"

"Ezra this is crazy we have like thousands of files here, no person should have to look through each and every word and match it with recordings this is torture!
How are you even so composed right now I feel like I'm about to faint."

"It's not that bad you can take rest if you'd like I'll find someone to cover up."

"Really!?" Elen asks with puppy dog eyes.

"Yes."

"Thanks so much I'll promise I'll text you later."

Shaking her head at the older's childish behaviour and grabbing the phone asking her secretary to find someone for the job to a fellow employee's dismay.

But somehow Ezra and her helpers finish the gigantic task before 10 am.

Ezra personally thanks them and promises to add a bonus to their pays.

"Oh and Ms. Dominique when will the cameraman return?"

Ezra hadn't thought of that but it's something that does need to be resolved quickly, once the event finishes they will go back to work the next day. Usually whenever Lennox corp hired a cameraman for meetings they put the person on 2 days trial to see how they did but that can't be done this time since they will be busy wrapping up the analysis files from the event.

So the only option is if someone personally tested the cameraman for a few hours which they will need to find in the first place and then decide what's fit.

That someone will need to be a regular member of meetings and have to had watched at least more than 10 video recordings and of course see if the person on test isn't slacking off.

Someone like the CEO.

Groaning Ezra replies "I'll get it done."

Then she grabs the intercom "Fellow employees make sure tomorrow's event goes smoothly, I want everyone to report early to the office and no returning till the special guest's official leave there can't be a single mistake in this event or I'll skin you all alive."

The poor helpers now absolutely terrified by the announcement slowly make their way out of the office.

Leaving Ezra alone at last "Great now I'll need to test out a photographer after the event." She slams her hand on the desk.

Sighing as she calls Sebastian "Hello my lady, what may be the task?"

Smiling at Sebastian's greeting she replies "Nothing I just wanted to give you a heads up for dinner."

"Not eating outside tonight I see."

"You won't let it go will you?"

"Absolutely not my lady."

Chuckling as she orders Nate to drive home.

"No worries I have everything prepared I made your favourite."

Ezra instantly perks up "Really!?"

"Yes now cut the call and relax on the ride."

Ezra's job was definitely a frustrating one but people like Sebastian and Elen made it a bit more bearable.
