Tears dripping wet the bedclothes.

“Don’t let me die.”

The little one is crying so sadly.

My heart was pounding as I watched it. I thought I should soothe Hansel first, so I put down what I brought and approached Hansel.

“……… ! “

I tried to put my hand on my shoulder, but before I touched it, Hansel looked at me in surprise.

I felt like my eyes were about to pop out.  My pale lips trembled.

I was just trying to hold his shoulder, but I was embarrassed by the reaction.

I pulled out my stretched hand and apologized for my sloppy dance.

“Well, I’m sorry.”

“………”

“I didn’t mean to surprise you. I’m just trying to comfort you.”

“……it’s all right.”

It’s okay. I still don’t look good.

I felt too much to react like that because I was a witch.

There must be another reason, but now I’ve buried Gretel because it’s more important to give her medicine than to ask.

Hansel stepped aside as I approached Gretel. I could tell he was being careful about what he did just in case he bumped into me.

There’s something. After a glance at Hansel, I opened the bottle I brought.

“Ugh.”

As soon as I opened the medicine bottle, a terrible smell pierced my nose. Is this really medicine? Maybe it’s a poison?

“What is it?”

I’m suspicious of Hansel, too.

“A cold pill… maybe?”

“That’s the cold medicine?”

“Maybe?”

I answered vaguely because I was relying on E-L’s memory that came to mind from time to time.

Then Hansel’s eyes folded thinly.

Hansel took the medicine bottle away and was wary of me.

“We can’t give Gretel an unidentified drug.”

“But I don’t have any other medicine besides that?”

“And yet, these drugs…”

“Cough, cough!”

Just in time, a series of coughing came out and Hansel’s eyes turned to Gretel.

Gretel’s crumpled face was full of cold sweat. A small hand, clutching his chest hard as if in pain, trembled.

It seemed dangerous to delay more time. A child like Gretel could die from a cold.

“Hansel, that’s a cold medicine.”

Elle, I hope your memory is correct.

“So give it to me. If you don’t feed him quickly, he’ll be in danger.”

As I said over and over again, Hansel kept his mouth shut and thought about it, closed his eyes and held out a medicine bottle.

“Please…”

“I was going to do that even if you didn’t say so.”

It would be too much for Gretel, who was unconscious, to hand over the medicine herself.
