Chapter 7

As soon as I saw her, the lingering imagery of the past made Hansel unable to move.

“Oh, I’ve been looking for you for so long.”

The stepmother hugged Hansel and burst into tears. The owner of the inn standing behind them looked at them with joy.

“I thought it was weird for the kids to bring a lot of money and stay at the inn, but they ran away. I’m glad I called the guards.”

“Thank you very much. These kids ran away from home all of a sudden, and I don’t know how worried they were. “

Worry? That was a ridiculous lie.

Hansel could bet everything he had that his stepmother wasn’t worried about them at all.

And Hansel never ran away from home. My stepmother and father were cut off and abandoned them.

It was obvious. Hansel was forced to shut up by her stepmother’s threat.

The stepmother bowed to the innkeeper wearing a nice mask. The owner of the inn blinked because it was obviously a kind and affectionate mother.

“Oh, no. I knew it. It’s better for the noodles. Go ahead.”

No, don’t let me go. Don’t let this woman send me.

Hansel let out a silent roar inside, but was not heard by the innkeeper.

“Okay, bye.”

As long as Gretel was held by her stepmother, Hansel had no choice but to do what she wanted.

The stepmother took Hansel into a deserted alley.

In the alley, a man I’ve never seen before was waiting for them.

The man who saw Hansel tilted his head and looked at his stepmother.

“He must have run away when he has a brother.”

Gretel ran away? She wasn’t keeping you?

Hansel looked around hurriedly. Gretel was nowhere to be seen. The stepmother deceived him.

“Let go!”

Only then did Hansel try to escape. The man couldn’t escape because he grabbed him by the neck.

Hansel struggled and tried to escape the man’s grasp, but it was too much for a young child to beat the power of an adult man.
