The Cuts and The Blood

"GET AWAY FROM ME MARCUS!!!" Melodi screamed as she ran towards the door. All she needed was to get out of there, patch up the cuts and wash all the dried blood from her body. "Mel...I'm sorry. I won't hurt you again." he said looking genuinely guilty. "okay..fine I'm going for a shower and YOUR  sleeping on the couch," she said glaring at him as anger burned in his eyes. He was a really bad boyfriend she knew that but she was too scared to leave him because God knows what would happen. But, she'd work up the courage sooner than she thought.

~Melodi POV:~

I got into the bathroom and locked the door, moving towards the shower and turning it on. I looked around for my towel and remembered that was what I went into the bedroom for before Marcus attacked me.

 I quickly unlocked the door leading into the bedroom. Looking around to see the room was empty, I walked in and grabbed my towel then made my way back into the bathroom. I stripped, set my towel down and stepped into the shower quickly becoming enveloped in the water. The heat soothed the aching in my face and back, then it hit me. The idea, what if I just pack my things and left in the night it's not like he could do anything when he'd found I left and had no idea where to look.

I quickly finished my shower and called my best friend, Harley. She said I could stay with her for a while before I got my own place so I started packing I didn't own much because what I did own was mostly blood-stained or torn. But I owned enough. I grabbed my wallet and charger along with my laptop and put them in the bag before zipping it up. I put on some jeans and a crop top before slipping on light blue socks and putting on my converse.

 'There's barely anything in the bag... ' I thought to myself 'it's fine Mel you have been wanting a whole new style for ages it's all okay I quickly did some light makeup just to cover the bruise under my eye then I began my descent. I climb down a pipe on the side of the house next to our window and then ran a little ways down the road to a corner shop before calling Harley. "Hello? " I heard her say. "Hey, Harls it's me. Can u come to get me I'm near the Premier on the corner of my road? You know the one we go to before we go out?" "Yeah okay I'm on my way" I heard the jingling of her keys "Does Marcus know u left?" Uhm I don't think so" then I heard glass shattering and a door slamming and I saw Marcus running up the road "Yeah he definitely does. Hurry!" I said. "I will just try and walk to miles' place I'll pick you up from there. I love you bye"
"Yeah bye" she hung up and I began walking.

I looked behind me and Marcus had gone into the Premier. I don't think he'd seen me so I kept walking. I walked for about 10 minutes before I heard Miles open their door and saw them running at me. They hug me quickly before ushering me inside. "Harley will be here I promise. Give her 10-15 minutes." Miles said quickly before locking the door. "I don't doubt she won't" I said rolling my eyes. "Do you think he's gonna come after you?" "I doubt it he doesn't know where any of you live for this reason" " Is your location on?" I gasped and quickly turned it off. We talked a little longer before we heard yelling and someone knocked on the door...
