Hi guys! My name is KC and... I'm the author of this story?? Haha! ENJOY!!

Chapter 1

"William," I whispered-yelled to my pet guinea pig as I tried to fit him in my tote bag "we have to be quiet this time.  No squeaking allowed!" He squeaked in response but I decided to let it go.  These drastic measures wouldn't have been necessary if that bitchy cash register lady hadn't seen me rolling William around in his hamster ball in Tesco.  She had yelled at me to take William outside and I had responded with a classic;

"YOLO BITCHES!"

Let's just say she didn't find me nearly as hilarious as the gangsters by the milk did and kicked me out.

But I had decided after about 5 minutes of contemplation that I was just gonna go back in with sunglasses and William hidden in my purse.  I would've usually went across the street to some other place but Tesco has the best Chocolate chip ice cream!  And Sunday's are my movie nights with Dad.

I haven't told you about me have I? Well, I am Alexa Korns, protector of mankind! That's actually what my name means!  So... You better be nice to me if you want the aliens to leave you alone in the future.

ANYWAY, I'm living with my single dad, Gale Korns.  I know what you must be thinking, 'Wherefore art thou Alexa's mother?'... You weren't thinking that? I guess it's just me then... WELL, my mother ran out on dad when I was 2.  I don't remember much about her, just that she had this really pretty ginger hair.  Dad keeps a picture in his desk drawer of her, but I never wanted to look at it, because then I would want her back.  And there's no point in wanting something that'll never happen.

Dad still loves her though.  He tries to hide it by being absorbed in grading papers, but I can tell.  I catch him looking at that picture every night, with this terribly sad face that makes me think a puppy just died right in front of him.  Oh my gosh that's depressing, now I'm going to be depressed for the rest of the day!  But my sadness is besides the point.  I have tried to get him to go out and do something find another lady friend, because I'm terrified that once I get up and move out, he'll waste away in our old, dusty apartment.

EW! I just made my house sound disgusting! Well it's NOT.  My house is actually quite lovely and CLEAN.  Just dad's room is dusty.  Or at least I think it is.  He doesn't let me go in his room. I'm betting that he has pictures of mom back when we were all a family.  I don't really know  what he has in there... What if he kept Mom's dead body? Nancy Drew moment!

Well, I guess that's just a little bit about little old me!  So back to the present!

I sent William a meaningful look to where he was squished between my makeup pouch and my wallet, before heading back to the dragon's liar.  A.k.a. Tesco.  I ducked my head in what I hope was an inconspicuous manner but I think I looked like I was trying to see down my own shirt.

Once I made it to a safe aisle, away from prying eyes I began my search for my precious ice cream.

Ok... There's cereal.  Oh! Lucky Charms! MINE.

Oh. My. Gosh. IT'S A DINOSAUR SANDWICH CUTTER!

What the fuck is this? Who would eat this? It looks like a moldy sponge!

... Oh wait... It is mold...

Let's just say that it took me awhile to find ice cream.

"FINALLY!" I pressed my cheek to the cold door before whipping it open and grabbing a few containers "Momma has finally found you my babies.  No need to worry now, Mommy's gotcha." I decided to take 2 of them but I apologized deeply to the others, and made sure to promise that I would come back for them.
