"Luce? Lucy?" I hear someone call out. I turn around to see.....
Lisanna....?
"I didn't know you speak?" She asks. My eyes widen, realizing that I just sang a song, unknowingly.
I look for my notebook, but I can't find it...
Wait a second...
I LEFT IT IN ENGLISH!
I awkwardly wave at Lisanna. She walks up to me, sitting next to me....Wait, why is she here anyway? Wasn't she the girl that was really mean to me a few days ago??
"Look..I'm sorry about what happened the other day..With me being mean. I was in a rush, and I got told I was arranged to get married with this guy called Bickslow....It sucks. I was really angry..But, I hope we could be friends?" She holds out her hand, waiting for me to shake.
I nod my head. "Su-" I almost speak, but put a hand over my mouth before I do.
"And, don't worry..I won't be telling anyone that I heard you sing. But, you can still talk to me verbally!" She smiles. I smile back. I decide, maybe I should be friends with her?
I shake her hand that she still held out. I let go and smile.
"I hope we can be friends.." I smile....
It's been a while since I've spoken....But, I'm still scared to speak with people.
"Don't worry, I will never tell anyone about it. I Promise! If you don't mind, since we're friends, can you tell me why you don't speak?" Lisanna asked curiously. I sigh.
"I...I don't really want to tell anyone yet..Sorry. I will one day, just not today. I haven't spoken for years, I'm still scared to speak. It would take a while until I can say why I never spoke before..." I frown.
"Oh, It's alright! I don't quite understand your life since I was never a 'Mute'. But, I guess it's pretty bad reason if you've not spoken for years..." She frowns. Even though she frowns, I can't help but smile. Maybe making Lisanna a friend wasn't bad after all?
"I'm glad we're friends. I accept your apology for being mean to me the other day. I get it. You've just been arranged to marry someone you probably barely even know...I don't know how you'd feel either...Since I.....I..." I gulp "Since I've never....I....I..."
"What's wrong?" Lisanna asks, frowning.
"I....I fear love."
"What? How come?" Lisanna asks.
"It's apart of the story why I don't speak much...."
"So, when are you gonna speak in front of everyone else, eh? I'm sure Natsu wants to hear you~" She teases.
"NO! We're just friends. We've only been friends for around 2 days!" I reassure.
Natsu and I?
"Fine, fine...." Lisanna sighs, "I just want you to know, Mira-nee ships you two so much...I'd watch out."
"Ship?" I ask, Curiosity filling my brain.
"Oh, let me explain. 'Shipping' comes from the word: 'Relationship'. It's when you want two (or more) people together in a relationship. They normally put the two's name together. You and Natsu's 'Ship Name' is NaLu! Oh, you two are so cute together!" Lisanna squeals.
Me and Natsu dating? What?
"Well....I guess....I should talk to them soon....But, I won't yet..Not until I can own up to remind myself why I didn't speak and why I fear love for the past few years..." I look down, frowning.
What if I can't own up to myself? What will I do then?
