It's not explicit but there's some mature content in this chapter.
Before I say anything, let's congratulate our girls for finally getting their first and second win! I hope you ugly cried as I did. I'm so happy for them. It's been long overdue. They couldn't have picked a better song/concept to win with. Love them so much. ❤️
Ok, back to me.
Hey. I'm still alive and writing (yes, believe it or not.). Sorry once again for the long time between chapters. I wish I had a crazy bizarre excuse like some writers I've seen on this site but I've just been busy with life, you know how it is? I caught covid back in January and that was not fun. But most of the time I was preparing to move and now I've been busy being a first-time homeowner! Never thought I'd be able to do that in a pandemic. But here we are.
Anyway, this chapter was stuck at 90% written for a long time. Half of it came from my original draft from 3 years ago (eek) and the rest is just me trying to make it make sense. Lol It's probably the most difficult one to write because I've never written a "love" scene. But I think it's still pretty tame compared to other fics but I hope the words aren't too flowery (or watery? There are a lot of water references in this chapter since they were staying near a beach lol)
mmkay, enjoy!

(Present)
Yoohyeon woke up first. An evening glow had flooded the room with shades of purple and orange. How it led here she'll never know. Things like this shouldn't have happened the way they did. It was like she was being written in a story where the writer was doing the impossible of putting together two people who shouldn't have anything to do with each other. But it's just one of those things where one had to trust the process no matter how crazy things looked.
The last few hours were still fresh in her mind. Vignettes that were so vivid she could still remember every little detail. Daintily painted crimson toes. Long brown hair tangled in her hands. Sighing in her ears.
She remembered letting out an audible gulp, marveling at such beauty now that she could see her better in the light. Despite her tiny figure, Bora looked strong, her sharp angles blended seamlessly with her curves in perfect proportion, like the golden mean in a tiny package.
Yoohyeon caught herself smirking at the recollection, wanting to laugh for analyzing Bora like some work of art. But could she blame herself when Bora was built like a marble statue? Even the ancient Greeks would have marveled—nay, worshiped her in awe.
But now she looked very human lying next to her. Beauty marks speckled her skin here and there. The perfect imperfections that made someone unique. She was tempted to "connect the dots" on Bora's back but she was sleeping so soundly and Yoohyeon did not want to disturb her. And then, peeking from the edge of the sheets was that elephant tattoo on her right shoulder blade. Finally, she had a better view of it. A smile beamed across Yoohyeon's face as she carefully pulled back the sheets. It's so cute and tiny (much like the owner). It probably didn't hurt at all. If she were to put her thumb over it the tattoo would disappear.
She just had to take a picture of it right now, her shutter finger was itching to capture this scene. But when she turned to grab her camera from the nightstand she realized she had left it downstairs. Grumbling to herself she reached for the next available thing, her phone.
You kids, spoiled by convenience. She was reminded of what she told Bora this morning.
But here she was focusing the screen on Bora's tattoo. She had to admit that this kind of camera was convenient in a pinch but she couldn't say that out loud now especially after making such a fuss about it. But then the artificial shutter loudly went off and made her curse under her breath.
