THIRTY THREE

Milo

I lean back in my chair & watch as Valencia plays with one of Apollo's kids, Elijah. I smile at the sound of her beautiful laugh & the young boy's giggles.

"He has a crush." Vanessa slaps my shoulder & I chuckle.

"I've noticed." I smile. I watch Elijah's cheeks redden when Valencia caresses his cheek. The 4 year old is smart & smooth.

"He's going to steal your girl, man." Mateo chuckles & takes a sip out of his scotch.

"Please." I scoff. I will fight this little kid.

Elijah taps his cheek, pleading for a kiss & Valencia leans down placing a small kiss on his cheek. He smiles & turns his head staring at me with crossed arms. He sticks his tongue out at me & I mock him making Valencia laugh.

Elijah runs outside & soon comes back with a small sunflower. He hands Valencia the sunflower & everyone watches the little boy in awe.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He whispers. He fidgets with his fingers & stares up at Valencia with innocent eyes. He then turns his head & stares at me with a mischievous smile making me chuckle.

"You better say no." I speak & drink out of my water bottle. Valencia stares at me in amusement.

"Y-" I cut her off. I stand & approach them. I wrap my arms around Valencia & shower her in kisses.

"She's mine, buddy." I smile & Elijah frowns.

"She didn't say that so move." He shrugs. He's too smart. I gasp & stare at the 4 year old, flabbergasted. Valencia snorts, Leonardo & Vanessa burst into a fit of laughter.

"Yes. my love." Valencia smiles & I fake gasp pretending to be hurt by her words. Elijah jumps into Valencia's arms & places a kiss on her cheek.

"Hahaha." He teases & I chuckle. I poke his cheek & he barks at me making Apollo & I raise an eyebrow. Definitely Leonardo & Vanessa's doing.

"Princessa, did you teach our son that?" Apollo faces Vanessa & she looks away.

"He'll chase off strangers. You know, just incase." She shrugs & I laugh. Elijah hops off Valencia's arms & hugs her legs.

"Teddy bear." He smiles poking her thighs & Valencia smiles.

"You want a son?" I question & she laughs.

"Mhm maybe. I need a ring first." She points at her empty ring finger & I smirk. I place a small kiss on her neck & back away letting Elijah have her for a few seconds.

"Mama, papa! I have a girlfriend!" He squeals & Mateo gives him a thumbs up.

"Good job." Leonardo claps & Vanessa smiles.

I stare at Valencia & my heart warms just by looking at the beautiful woman. I'm so in love with her. I never saw myself ever being loved by anyone other than my family. I love being in love.

I sit in Milo's library & stare off into space. I sigh to myself & rest my head against the comfortable soft chair. I shut my eyes & think about my mother. I haven't spoken to her since I graduated high school.
