Miraculous: The Exceed Phoenix Saga

Ep. 7: Unity under Providence

(Note: As this was written as a bit of a tie-in to the US airing of Penalteam, this introduces the remaining 4 superheroes who debut in that episode; Minotaurox, Miss Hound, Rooster Bold, and Caprikid. Additionally, the former two will get new Miraculous down the line. Without further ado, enjoy.)

Despite his recent defeat by the Miraculous team, Tornadus didn't go down without a fight. Without hesitation, he used the Dark Phoenix Miraculous to summon more Varkiri, who managed to escape from the Spirit World. "Yes! Go off, my fellow Varkiri.", proclaimed Tornadus. "Together we will destroy the Miraculous team, and revive the Radical Destruction Bringer once and for all!"

The day following the Speed-Type incident, Chloe and Zoe try to figure out what to do next, knowing that there are much bigger threats beyond Queen Moth and Tornadus. Naturally, the latter began to worry about Chloe.

"Sis, what's wrong?", asked Chloe.

"I don't know, Chloe. It's just, after we defeated the Speed-Type, something switched in my brain.", replied Zoe. "A sense of worry, if you will."

"What do you mean, Zoe?"

"To tell you the truth, Chloe, I worry about you. A lot. Living with you for some time got me thinking, 'Maybe there is some good in you'."

"Wait, you mean you actually care about me?"

"In a way, I would probably say yes."

The room went silent for a moment. Chloe, unable to clear her thoughts, decided to leave the room. "Zoe, I think I need time for myself." She told Zoe. "I don't think I'm able to process all of this." As she says this, however, Zoe was about to leave the room as well. "Where are you going, Zoe?"

"I'm going to Marinette's place." She answered Chloe. "I just want to hang out with her, that's all."

"Oh, alright then. You can call me when there's trouble, okay?"

"Okay, Chloe."

Meanwhile, Felix and Marinette were in the balcony, talking about the latter's relationship with Chloe. "Chloe back then is more like a rival to me than anything else.", replied Marinette. "I tried to be nice to her, but she's kind of stubborn."

"I guess her attitude got better with time, it seems.", remarked Felix.

"There's also the fact that both of her parents are divorced, and her father had taken custody of both her and Zoe."

"I guess now the two can find peace after all that."

As the two siblings were conversing, they both saw Zoe entering the Patisserie. After this, the two went to the living room and greeted Zoe.

"I guess this is my first time meeting you, Felix.", remarked Zoe.

"Nice to meet you, Zoe.", replied Felix. "So, what brings you here?"

"I just wanted to talk to you guys, that's all."

"Oh, really? Good to know."

As the three were conversing about their day, Felix began to wonder about how Zoe got to Paris.

"Well, my dad was killed by one of the United Heroez's adversaries, whom I can no longer remember." Zoe explained. "It led to me living with both Jessica Keynes and Aeon for most of my life, until my stepfather invited me to live with him in Paris."
