Romantic adventure of Diluc and Thoma, but with a twist

I'll always love you my dear tomato

The day was perfect to be out. The sun was out but the wind balanced it so it wasn't too hot. The distant sound of Diluc's pet eagle as he flew happily through the clouds. Diluc enjoyed the silence he craved for. Finally no Kaeya to bother him and specially no Venti to deal with.

He needed space to clear of his mind. Lately, things had been so difficult. There was this feeling that he was disappointing his father. Then, there was the issue that one of his maids was eating his special guests. But nothing mattered right now; he was finally alone.

Diluc's eagle came down to him and he looked a bit stressed. Like something was coming, and well he was right. A big storm was heading their way. What a shame, it was so nice three minutes ago. Oh well, time to head out. But as diluc turned around, a strong wind blew him off the ground. Sending him flying high up in the sky.

Everything was happening so fast he didn't know what to do as he was doing flips in the air. Then there was heavy raining, now he was doing flips while also getting all wet.

From all the moving around, he passed out. He then woke up in a unfamiliar place. The trees were purple and red. The grass also was different... This is definitely not Mondstadt. His pet eagle was nowhere to be found so maybe he got stuck in the storm as well. He decided to go look for him.

1 hour later

Still nothing... where could he have gone to?? Something caught diluc's attention. It was a very bright tomato plant. Strangely there was only one tomato there. "Hmm that's wierd" he thought to himself. Although he had to admit it, that has to be the most attractive tomato he had ever seen. It was perfectly round and big. It had a gorgeous bright red color that made Diluc blush a little.

Diluc looked around to see if there was anyone close by. After making sure it was only the two of them (him and the incredibly attractive tomato) he went to  grab it. But when his fingers met with its smooth surface, he couldn't bring himself to take it. Hi wondered how it would feel if he kissed it. After realizing how stupid he was acting, he took a step back and turned around to look for his missing pet.

His face now bright red, he couldn't believe he was about to do this. He faced back at the tomato and get closer to it. Slowly, his lips met smooth surface. It felt...good. He went in for a more passionate kiss while grabbing its leafs. Although something had changed. His lips felt as if they were touching a human's lips instead of an object.

He opened his eyes  and startled to see the face of a man?! He was also very handsome and had smooth beautiful skin. But... how did that happen.

"Oh I'm sorry, is something wrong? "- Thoma
".... You grew a..human face"- Diluc
"What?? How is that possible"- Thoma
" I don't know but damn you hot tho, my name is diluc "- diluc
"I'm Thoma " -Thoma
".... I'm sorry for the kiss" - Diluc
"Oh hehe is alright I didn't mind " - Thoma

They started talking a little, getting to know each other. Diluc was also trying to figure out where he was. Thoma told him that he is in inazuma. Diluc couldn't believe it... HOW DID HE GET THERE. It was getting late now though so he had to leave now.

"I better get going now, it was nice meeting you Thoma "- Diluc
" Yeah good luck finding your pet! I hope I can see you again soon " - Thoma

When diluc left someone stepped out of the shadows.

"Oh hey ayato" - Thoma
"Hi Thoma... who was that? " - ayato
"Oh that was a friend I met not so long ago" - Thoma
"'Friend' well it didn't look like you two were just friends yk" - ayato
"Oh hehe well I guess you are right"- Thoma
"Excuse me Thoma, I will be back shortly"- ayato

He left before Thoma could even say something. He seemed as if he was in a hurry. A few minutes later, Ayato came back with a shovel.

"What are you gonna use that for? " - Toma
"I'm taking you somewhere now be quiet" - ayato with a slight annoyed tone in his voice that made Thoma a little nervous.

"Where are you taking me...??" - Thoma said worried
"Far away from that other man" - ayato
"What why?" - Thoma
"You are my tomato and mine only, I don't want to share you with anyone and the fact that someone other than me kissed you drives me mad"- ayato
" Ayato.... I'm sorry but I really like him"- Thoma
Ayato kept on digging out Thoma. He put him in a bag and ran away with him to somewhere far away.

Diluc finally found his pet. He was so glad to see that he was alright, now all he wanted to was to go back and talk with Thoma for a while longer. But when he returned to where Thoma was, he was gone... There was a note there.

"Thoma is my tomato
Don't you dare touch him again or else I'll kill you"

What.... Thoma must be in danger. Diluc sent his eagle to look for Thoma and sniff him out or something idk. The eagle caught Thoma's sent and guided him to

The eagle lead him to a place with some sort of ruins. It was foggy, he could hardly see. Then, he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head.

"Got you"- ayato

Two hours later

Diluc woke up but he couldn't see anything, or move at all. He was blindfolded and his arms and legs were tied up. He could hear a muffled voice... It was Thoma. A third person came into the room.

Ayato took Diluc's blindfold off and then grabbed a chair to sit right in front of him.

" I want you to stay away from Thoma and me. Then you'll be fine and I'll arrange your return to Mondstadt. "- Ayato

" Who are you and where is Thoma?! " - Diluc

"I'm his farmer and I'm being generous enough to let you say goodbye to him for a last time" - ayato

Ayato pulls a tomato out of his sleeves.

"I'm sorry diluc... It wasn't meant to be"- Thoma
" No wait pls... I can get you out of here" -Diluc
"No. You need to go home, I'm sorry" - Thoma

Ayato then put Thoma on his sleeve again and walked out of the room. Before he left tho, he glanced back at Diluc with a smile that said 'I win'.

As promised, someone came with red horns and took him to the port where he would take a boat to Mondstadt.

It's been months since what happened back in inazuma. But it's still hard to forget his feelings for that shiny smooth tomato. He tells the story of his romantic and tragic experience to venti all the time.

I wish I would see my tomato again.

Meanwhile, ayato left with Thoma to sumeru where they lived happily as farmer and tomato. But deep inside, Thoma never forgot Diluc and their kiss.
