The sun's first whisper of light filters through a crack in the closed blinds while a phone vibrates and sings a repetitive song signaling the beginning of a new day. Robyn stretches her arms and groans slightly, reaching over and she blindly taps away at her bedside table before a lucky hit connects with the silence button. She rubs the last of the sleep from her eyes and pulls back her bed sheets revealing her green polka dotted sleep trousers and white t-shirt. Robyn slings her legs out of bed and begins her morning ritual, washing her face before changing into some shorts and a sports top. Tying her hair back in a long ponytail and putting on a cap, she pulls her hair through the back letting it fall down to the middle of her back. Quickly rinsing the sleep out her mouth she puts in her headphones and running shoes before blowing kisses to a still sleeping Mortimer and heads out the door.

Thirty minutes later and the sun now poking its head above the horizon Robyn turns the corner on her block and slows her pace before walking that remaining distance to her home. Returning after her morning workout she heads straight to the shower discarding clothes like breadcrumbs. The cool water feels like needles against her warm sweaty skin, after the initial shock she gets used to the temperature as she does every morning and begins to enjoy it. She decides against shampooing her hair, thinking of her potential encounter later she'd rather not battle all the frizz and wants a more natural look to her beach wavy hair. Robyn stands in the shower having to duck slightly to catch the top of her head under the showerhead, a smile curls up her face thinking of her plan to try and see Ivory again today. The shower feels wonderful but as another alarm goes off she turns off the shower, water is precious here and Robyn has always been a conservationist at heart. Grabbing the towel off of the rack she wipes the beads of water off of her body before wrapping her hair up the same towel. Absent mindedly wandering into her kitchen, she is lost in the thought of what on earth she is going to say to Ivory when her daydreams are interrupted by the meows of a bemused Mortimer from the couch.

"Oh honey I'm sorry to wake you up" rubbing the cat's head as his eyes open slightly to the sound of his mother busying herself away in the kitchen. "I'm usually quieter but mum is very excited today, she thinks she might have found a special friend. Who knows maybe they could be someone for you to play with?" Her cat responds only with a tiny sound before closing his eyes again and tucking back in for the rest of his sleep.

The remainder of Robyn's morning is business as usual, she elects to wear nylons, a navy pencil skirt and tuck in a cream short-sleeved blouse. Choosing a chunky yellow necklace and matching earrings to go with her yellow heels, she feels both classy and sexy, hoping to give off the right intentions. Robyn blows dry her hair and puts in a bit of curling cream to help accent her natural wave, looking at herself in the mirror she smiles and feels some butterflies in her stomach. Don't overthink it, you're just going to ask for her number and to maybe get together soon. It's no big deal. Super casual you got this! She stares at herself in the mirror and audibly says "I don't got this"

Twenty minutes later Robyn gets off of her tram to finish the rest of her walk to work and sees the firehall with its high hedges. She could be in there right now, do I go and talk to her? What if she's not working? What if she says 'no'? What if she says 'YES'?! Breath Robyn breath. You are a strong almost thirty year-old woman, you have the courage to ask cute girls out! Go and do it!

Creeping slightly up the boardwalk the first thing she notices is that it's loud, surprisingly loud. The last time she came in the place was empty but now as she fully enters the space there must be two dozen people in here, standing in line or sitting and enjoying a cup before work. Right... coffee shop. Maybe I'll come back later in the day... Dejected Robyn turns on her heel and heads back down the wooden walkway and makes her way to the office followed closely by her own personal storm cloud.
