Tommy took a route that he's always taken to get to Tubbo's house.
Ranboo followed maybe a step behind just so he didnt get left behind.
Neither Ranboo or Tommy knew about the figures following behind them in the shadows, watching, waiting.
Tommy saw Dream standing in the distance with his cloak on aswell. The only odd ball out there was Ranboo, who was easily seen with his tall stature and princely clothing.
"Well, I certainly didn't meet the dress code." Ranboo laughed slightly rubbing the back of his neck.
Tommy looked to Dream, "Well, you can borrow some of mine," Dream ran into the house quietly and came back out with a plane shirt and khakis like Tommy wore, and a cloak to match.
"Right, but, where am I going to change exactly? We are in the middle of the path." Ranboo asked, taking the clothes in hand and looking around.
"Im not gonna figure everything out for you," Dream crossed his arms, Tommy laughed silently and looked to the compass.
"You still have that? I thought it was lost in the fire? I thought she," Dream stopped himself, going into too much detail around a, well outsider, may cause some unwanted attention.
Tommy shook his head.
"Well, I guess you were thinking rationaly. Sorry, Tommy." Dream muttered out. He isn't one to apologize often, so Tommy took it with a smile.
He looked down to the enchanted compass. It pointed to the left of him, south east.
He started walking quickly in that direction, and Dream followed without hesitation.
Ranboo grunted as he finished changing behind a bush.
"Guys, wait!" He shouted a little as he ran after them.
It was a long walk, they were soon heading out of the kingdom. The sun was going to rise in a few hours, and Tommy had to be back home for the meeting with the Kakó Kingdom.
Tommy steadily turned his speed from a brisk walk to a light jog. The others followed without questioning him.
The two figures following in the shadow however, were very unhappy with the change in pace.
"Why the fuck is he going faster?" One asked in agony, they were already tired from walking and now they have to slightly run? Not a chance.
"Stop with the complaining. You've been trained for worse." The other said, they didn't care about the change in pace as much as the other.
The other shuddered at the reminder, "Dont even remind me of that. Father is just a stickler for treason." He answered.
"Keep your voice down. Theyll hear us," They continued to jog without being noticed by the others that were slightly infront of them.
"Tommy will we find what you're looking for with the help of the compass?" Ranboo asked, it was a little too quiet for his liking.
"It will, has he told you what we are looking for?" Dream asked, Tommy braced himself for the insults that would come out of his mouth.
If he can do it around his family he'll surely do it around Dream, or worse.
"No, he hasn't." Ranboo stated, Tommy almost stopped in his tracks.
Why the fuck is he nice now? Tommy wondered. Maybe it was Dream? But wouldn't he be afraid of the royal family. Why would Dream suddenly scare him?
"Makes sense, it does have to deal with someone very important to him." Dream continued, Ranboo thought for a moment.
"Is it Tubbo?" Ranboo asked, he kinda wished he didnt. He had a feeling that he shouldn't know what they are looking for. Like he wasnt ment to know.
"Yea, he's my brother. He hasn't come home since the last time Tommy has seen him." Dream answered, Ranboo's eyes saddened a little.
Tommy picked up speed. His light jog turning into a run. It wasn't as fast as a sprint, but Ranboo felt like he was running faster than they needed to be.
Tommy probably wanted them to shut up and stop talking about it.
Tommy followed the compass till they got to a clearing in the woods that was very much so out of their borders.
"This is the outskirts of The Pride Kingdom." Ranboo commented, he caught his breath bending over and resting his hands on his knees.
"Is he around here? In the middle of the woods?" Dream asked looking towards Tommy.
Tommy nodded carefully as he looked around. Something wasnt right.
Ranboo and Dream began looking around. They looked in the bushes, behind trees, everywhere, but they couldn't find him.
"You don't think," Ranboo stopped himself, Dream and Tommy looked at him.
"Forget it." He said, he started looking deeper in the woods.
"What was he gonna say?" Dream asked Tommy. Tommy shrugged, though he did know the answer.
He's suggesting Tubbo is in the ground, Tommy almost cried at the thought.
Looking away from Dream and wiping his face, he decided to look up instead.
You wouldn't believe what he found.
