Nine til Two

~Chapter 1~

It was the start of a summer afternoon.

My friend group and I decided to go to "The Dering Woods" for a nice place to relax and just to fuck around.
Geo was the one to suggest the place since no one else had any other place ideas.

The Dering Woods were also known as "The Screaming woods."

This is a great opportunity to scare the shit out of all my friends, mostly so I can laugh at them.

I got no idea how I convinced them all to come with me though.

"Hey Seth. Dumbass of the 30th dimension. Are you even awake??!
I've said your name multiple times and you're just staring off into the distance."

I looked over to my brother, Erik.

I honestly don't know why he came along, he doesn't even seem to like me that much but insisted on coming.

We were so close when we were younger, I honestly don't know what happened.

"I was narrating in my head. Why'd you interrupt?"

"I don't really care what you were doing NOR do I have to answer any questions from you. I just needed to tell you that you're the ONLY one in the car right now.
Everyone else has been setting up our shit.
Be useful for once and GET OUT OF THE CAR."

He slammed the door on my face.

I hope he knew that this was Felix's car. Felix is a chill guy, he's a part time firefighter.
It wasn't that hard for him to get the job though, considering his parents are firefighters as well.

I got my lazy ass up, closing the passenger door and the back trunk.
It seemed like they forgot to close it.

Erik was right though, all of our stuff was already loaded into this wooden building we're staying in.

Not ominous at all.

I walked into the building and holy shit was it huge. It looked like we decided to crash in the living room though.

"This living room is as big as my garage." I hear Nikki say.

"You think this is big?? Go and check out the bathroom here! You could live in there if you wanted to." Xander interrupted.

Nikki is a tomboy, but she hides her face with bandages.
Only Juniper has seen her actual face.  She didn't have to be so stereotypical about it, but then again she isn't straight.

Xander is actually half vampire, but the sun doesn't hurt him much, he just gets sunburned easily. Xander's my homie, my wing man.

"Guys- this isn't a mansion..It literally looks like the ceiling is about to crumble onto us." Geo chuckled.

Geo is like the mom of the group..he literally doesn't care about himself a lot. He's more into helping others.

"So..How long are we staying here for?" I hear Juniper say on the side.

"..Let's try and last at least 3 days, no? If you guys can last for that long that is." I snicker while smirking.

Obviously they're not gonna last, but that's part of the fun.
What's more fun than seeing your friends getting scared?

"Awhh? You scared..??" Zelk teases.

She glares at him, "I don't know why YOU'RE teasing ME.
You might be tall, but I know you're probably going to be the first one to leave. Don't even deny it." Juniper scoffed.

"Ouch- I'm offended..You didn't have to do me like THAT June."

June is a nickname Zelk gave his gf, Juniper. They've been friends for so long but only realized their feelings for each other not too long ago.
