Unwanted "wish" (Chapter 3)

As Y/N sits at lunch with their friends gossiping and talking about about exams, they can't help but feel slightly left out.

"So Naib then told me that she actually tripped on a banana and that's how the rumour of that weird picture started." Fiona said disappointed, annoyed.

"Really? Well either way I'm sure Vera would be able to find out the reason behind, she's pretty popular." Luca said

"C'mon... Not Vera! She's annoying and she takes advantage of people didn't you notice?? Hey Naib what else news around the school you got to tell us?" Tracy was annoyed.

"The new kid is associated with Vera he's probably her new body-guard-boyfriend and manipulative just like her."

"What a shame. He seemed cool." Fiona replied.

"I can't help but butt into the conversation, who's this Vera person?" Y/N was curious.

"Ahh Y/N.. She is a terrible person in short, I used to be childhood friends with her and she's really quite the pick-me. Always going around telling lies." Fiona said.

Once the bell rang Y/N and her friends go to class but then she is secretly pulled away by someone into a dark classroom.

"Huh? What-"

"Listen here, stay away from Edgar got it?"

"I don't even know you or him."

"Impossible you've been in the school for so long and don't even know the cause of the rumours?"

"Cause of the rumours?....."

Y/N couldn't quite tell who was the person speaking. Too dark to even see their face but it was a feminine voice.

"Hey I don't know who you are but please let me go!"

Y/N felt scared. As if this person's eyes were piercing right through her soul. As soon as she was about to shout for help the door opened and there was light again.

"Vera and.. wait why are you here Norton?"

This is bad. Why is Y/N here with Vera and Norton? What was happening?

"Edgarrrr~ darling this is not what it seems like! I'm sure you'll understand I had to tell Y/N something in private.."

God, she sounds so fake it irritates me. She only started to walk towards me with that grin on her all the time

"Miss Vera.... Ada is still waiting."

"Patience Norton."

Ada? Who the hell is Ada? And Norton my sworn enemy why's HE here? More importantly Y/N seems terrified

"Edgar."

What does he want now.

"Let's talk in private shall we? No worries Vera will let your childhood friend go back to class in peace, she's not so mean."

"Never ever."

"I know you still doubt but I'm sure you out of all people would understand."

"You and Vera act as if there is gang activity going on behind the scenes. This is not something I wanna get involved in."

"You've always been like that. But you'll get involved into this gang activity if Y/N is in trouble right? You would even get blood on your hands just for them?"

I couldn't reply. I felt ashamed but I wanted to save Y/N. It doesn't seem like anything bad has happened so far but this could be illegal things.
