Chap. 2 - I Can't Believe It

Well the tears I felt coming, I just couldn't hold back. Small tears drip down my cheeks. "Oh my god, I can't believe it," I bring up my hand to wipe my face, "I got in. I'm so sorry, I'm crying." I give a little laugh and Andrew gets up. He walks around his desk and offers me a hug.
"No worries, Marie, I knew you'd get accepted." He steps back a bit and I smile.
"Wow, thank you so much, Mr. Andrew for all your help." I gather my things and swing my bag over my shoulder.

'What's a friend, if I can't call her?' I get outside on campus and immediatley call Raina.
"H-Hello? Marie?" She sounds groggy.
"Oh geese Raina, you still asleep? It's 1:30pm" I playfully scold her.
"Eh. So, what's up?" She asks.
I clear my throat. "Raina. I have some news."
"No, shit. Tell me you got the internship." Raina pleads.
"AH I DID!" I screech, "I'm so so excited Raina!"
"AH YYYAAYY" She screams so loud I pull the phone away from my ear.
I laugh. "That's so amazing, Marie," she calms down, "You got it going good."

I sit deep in my couch, waiting for Tonight Show to come on. The reality is uncanny and my heart stops just thinking about it. In just a few weeks I'll be standing, walking in that building, and in Studio 6B. Not to mention the incredibly beautiful, Jimmy.
My phone dings, it's a text from my boyfriend, Matthew.
Oh, I didn't mention him? Well, now you know! Haha.
'I'm so proud of you babe' he texts.
'Thanks bby, love you (:'
'Sweet dreams ❤️'

I watch the Show till the very end and I end up falling asleep on the couch. Eh, tomorrow is Saturday anyways.
