1. Peeping Tom

"I know it's this room. I know it's one of you! Don't you guys have manners!? Is it a crime that we decided to stay In a mixed hostel!? "

Those were the words that pulled Tope out of her sleep. She could hear a girl screaming those words from the boy's section of the hostel, and Tope was forced to open her eyes as sleep slowly left her.

Tope stared at the bottom of the top bunk above her, and the usual feeling of disgust washed over her. The under of the bunk was decorated with all colors and sizes of chewed bubble gum.

It was a disgusting sight to wake up to every morning, and Tope would have done something about it, but the mere thought of touching them or how long they've been there repulsed her. Some of those things were so old, they had merged to the iron like they were meant to be there.

"You guys are just a bunch of fools! I have reported to the hostel management and since they won't do anything, I will tell the VC about you guys. Since all of you want to be mad! "The voice that woke Tope yelled again, and Tope rolled her eyes in annoyance .

"Oh, God! Who is that again!? "She mumbled as she rolled to her side, and her bunk mate peeped down from her bed above.

"Who else? It's that Victoria girl. She claims that when she was bathing this morning, some boys were watching her and even catcalling her. "Aisha explained, and Tope's face scrunched up in annoyance.

"Again? Is it only her? "She questioned, and Aisha shrugged.

"To be honest, I think even if her accusations are true, she low key likes it. Cause why does she always bathe outside? "Aisha replied, and another roommate chipped in.

"Ahan. Why are you talking like we all didn't use to bathe there? "Amaka said, and Tope turned to her.

"Used to. Those are the key words. We all knew better than to keep bathing there when the wall that blocked the guys view from us collapsed. "Aisha retorted, and Tope nodded.

"Besides, what is the harm in bathing in the bathroom? "She questioned, and Shalom sat up in her bed.

"You know that once it's 10am, that place becomes a mess. Not everyone can wake up by 5 am to bathe like you and Aisha. "Shalom retorted and Aisha and Tope shared a look.

"Ehn. Thank you. It's a bunkie thing. Maybe if you join us, you'll get to bathe in a clean toilet, and would never be in Victoria's shoes. "Aisha replied and Shalom rolled her eyes before laying back on her bed, and facing the wall.

All the girls fell silent when Victoria marched past their room, cursing the boys and swearing to get the perpetrators punished.

Tope sighed, and sat up. She picked her phone, turned on her data, and went to WhatsApp. When she saw that she had no new messages, she started scrolling through status updates till she stumbled upon the school's gossip channel.

There were talks of someone taking pictures of naked girls in a certain hostel and selling them to boys or uploading them through various anonymous accounts. Tope swallows hard as she started at the picture of a naked girl that accompanied the message.

Her heart broke for the girl who's picture want secretly taken and was now circulating the school. She immediately sent a message to her best friend to be careful, and then she turned off her data and dropped her phone on her bed to go and pee.

"Oohoo. Who took my slippers now!? "She questioned in irritation when she couldn't find her Dunlop slippers under her bed where she kept them.

"I saw Grace wearing it when she was going to bathe. "Ada replied, and Tope felt annoyance creep up her neck.

"How many times will I tell you people not to touch my things without asking? "She ranted in annoyance, and Fehintola turned to her.

"Which one is you people? How many of us wore slippers to go and bathe? With those your small legs. You better come and wear mine to do whatever you want to do cause that girl will spend three market days in that bathroom. "Fehintola retorted and Tope stared at her in silence.

She simply wore the slippers, mumbled a thank you, and walked out of the room and to the general restroom to pee.
