Apex let out a sigh as he noticed Gipsy and Striker helping Brooklynn stand. "You were created by the precursors as a Kaiju that could take the form of a human." Apex explained. "Most hybrids were classified as a category II, you're a rare exception."

Yasmina slumped down in the dirt. "I'm the same type of Kaiju as that monster." She mumbled as a memory of Slattern flashed in her mind.

"But you're not." Apex said.

"Yes I am!" Yasmina tried not to sound sad or angry but it didn't work. "I proved that when I basically tried to kill my best friend!"

Apex glanced over to Brooklynn who was leaning up against Gipsy, a large spiderweb crack on her neon green visor.

"A friend of mine did the same thing to me... he was under the control of the sisters, and well he stomped on my face which would've killed me." Apex explained as the memory of B0y stomping on his face in Kaiju form flashed before his eyes. "But Obsidian fury saved me from death."

Yasmina cringed after hearing about Apex getting his face stomped on. "What do I say to Brooklynn? 'Sorry that i nearly ripped you apart'?" Yasmina asked.

"Just go say you're sorry." Apex said. "Chances are she'll understand."

Yasmina nodded and walked towards Brooklynn. However as she approached Gipsy let out a menacing metallic growl as she held Brooklynn closer to her.

Yasmina took a step back with a look of fear in her eyes.

Brooklynn looked at Yasmina weakly. "I'm sorry." Yasmina began.

"I'm sorry that I let those witches get into my head so easily and then proceeded to attack you." Yasmina continued.

"Yaz..." Brooklynn said weakly. "It's fine."

Yasmina looked at Brooklynn's damaged armour plating.

She swore she saw sparks flickering in between the holes of her armour.

"We need to move before the military gets here." Ben said. "Otherwise we'll have to fight them. And I'm not in the mood to be shot."

"Agreed." Trespasser said.

Gipsy and Brooklynn returned to their human forms. However Brooklynn fell to the floor groaning in agony.

Yasmina helped her stand and gasped at what Brooklynn looked like.

She was battered, bruised, and bleeding.

However the group then disappeared into the shadows of the city.

Brooklynn however after being lied down on the ground closed her eyes and ceased moving. "Brooklynn?" Gipsy asked her sister.

"Brooklynn wake up." Gipsy said pushing her sister lightly. "Brooklynn!"

Yasmina felt her chest and realized she wasn't breathing. "She needs CPR!" Yasmina shouted.

Yasmina then started to try and bring Brooklynn back from the "dead" using CPR. "It's not working!" Yasmina shouted.

Leatherback then shoved her out of the way and charged up his fists.

"Clear!" Leatherback shouted and the others backed away.

He then punched Brooklynn on the chest with both his fists and it sent a shock through her system.

"Clear!" He shouted again and did the same maneuver.

Brooklynn's eyes shot open and she started to cough violently. "Thank you." She coughed.

Leatherback smirked softly and looked over at Gipsy.
