y/n wakes up with a pounding headache, dreading the light which shines into the room behind her eyelids. she startles as suns face is right next to hers, the lights in his eyes completely out. she feels herself shivering, though oddly enough she's sweating. it's the kind of chills you get when you know you're about to be sick.

she groans, laying in any position that would take away the pain, until later sun wakes.

"oh, good morning, sunshine! how did you sleep?" he says, leaning over her until she shushes him softly, putting a finger to his mouth.

"my head hurts. i think i'm sick." she says, rubbing her forehead.

"sick? oh no, that's no good. let me feel your forehead." he says, placing his palm on her head. his hands are sensitive to heat, for the very reason of sensing sickness in children and getting them help. he pulls his hand back with a gasp. she opens her tired eyes wide at his reaction, feeling her own forehead.

"you're burning up!" he says, before shaking moon awake.

"moon, moon! wake up!" sun says, while keeping a hand on her shoulder.

"what?" be hisses as he sits up.

"she's really really warm, she might need a doctor!" he says, sitting up and pulling y/n with him. she groans at his actions, scaring him even more. moon perks up at her sounds of distress, checking out the situation.

"sun, set her down, idiot. she doesn't want to be moved if she's sick." sun sets her back down gently on the mattress, and moon leans down next to her.

"hey starlight. how are you feeling?" he says, feeling her forehead as well.

"everything hurts. i'm gonna go back to sleep." she weakly pulls moon down to her level, holding his hand for comfort. moon stays next to her, but tells sun to go tell the others she's not feeling well. he quickly obeys, tripping down the stairs practically screaming. moon rolls his eyes, as he brushes a loose hair from her face.

a few minutes later, freddy appears in the doorway.

"moon, how is she?" he says, approaching the bed.

"oh, she's asleep. i don't know why sun is freaking out, kids get sick. it happens." he shrugs, as she tightens her grip on his hand in her sleep.

"oh, thank goodness. the way he described it i thought it was super serious." he says. the others pop in the doorway, with the three glamrocks running over.

"is y/n okay?" chica says.

"geez, she looks terrible." monty acknowledges.  all the commotion makes her stir awake, rubbing her temples as they argue.

"y/n! how do you feel, superstar?" freddy says hopefully.

"like dog sh*t. honestly, i don't even know what i caught." she says quietly.

"language, starlight." moon gently scolds. she waves him off.

"can i get you anything? maybe some food, or water?" freddy offers.

"some chicken soup would be nice, if we have any." she says, before laying her head back down.

"i'll go check!" sun says, before dashing back downstairs.

"whats up with him?" roxy says.

"i don't know..." freddy says. y/n sits up, making moon question her.

"i'm going to the bathroom. she says, climbing roughly over moon, and stumbling into freddy.

"not so fast, starlight. you're sick, you need to rest." moon says, pulling her gently back from her waist.

"dude, i have to pee." she says, trying to lean out of his grasp.

"let me take you." he says, gently but swiftly picking her up and carrying her to the bathroom door. she holds her head as he stands, waiting until the room stops spinning to take a step.

"i've got it from here, thanks bud." she says, stumbling into the bathroom. she goes to the restroom, and as she's about to walk out, her mouth fills with saliva and her gut wrenches causing her to vomit, almost missing the toilet.

she waits until her insides successfully empty themselves, and rolls over onto the floor, exhausted.

a few minutes later sun knocks rapidly on the door, jumping from foot to foot as he waits for a reply.

"sunshine, a-are you alright? you've been in there an awful long time... i'm just going to pop in and check on you..." he opens the door and gasps as she lay on the ground, immediately dropping on his knees by her side.

"oh dear, oh no are you alright?! what happened?" he shrieks. she waves him off, struggling to sit up.

"i puked." she says flatly as he helps her to stand.

"oh dear, that sounds awful! come, sweetie, let's get you back to bed." she doesn't resist him and let's him pick her up, leaning completely into his chest. he notices how she immediately melts into him, with complete trust. she's never been this soft before, usually she's slightly tense when they're close. but she doesn't even worry about it, and closes her eyes as he lifts her gently.

sun carries her to her room, where moon is fixing the bed sheets.

"she's not looking too good, moon. she needs some soup asap! but i don't know how to make it." sun says, laying her down and tucking her in.

"come on, it can't be that hard." they both go downstairs, leaning her unsurpervised. for the first time in what feels like days, she finally has a moment to think.

unfortunately, being alone makes her brain run wild. all the memories at the pizzaplex come back, all the horrific, traumatizing memories and moments she'd thought for sure she was a goner. she finds herself sweating more than before, the bedsheets gripped in fear. vanny's dead... right? and spring trap... she never really saw him die.

what if he's still out there? what if he's trying to hunt her down because she foiled his plans? what if he's on his way right now?

she uses all her energy to rise to her feet, swaying as she tries not to let her stomach acid come back up.

she slowly makes her way downstairs, trying to sneak to the basement, when she hears sun yell in surprise at her appearance.

"no no no, what are you doing up?! you're going to feel worse if you don't rest, sunshine! come on, let's back to-" he tries to turn her around towards the stairs, but she pulls away.

"no, i... i have to work. i haven't been doing any research lately, and springtrap could come back at any minute... and..." to her and the two animatronics surprise, tears form in her eyes and fall down her cheeks. even the simple act of crying takes energy out of her, making her fall to her knees.

"y/n?" moon runs over with a slight sense of urgency.

"i'm fine..." she waves them off, trying to stand on her own, but finds that she physically can't. the two look down at her with arms outstretched, ready to help, but holding back per her request.

"i'm just stressed is all." she waves her hand at them.

"y/n, let me take you back to bed." sun offers, taking her small hands in his gigantic ones.

"okay." she replies in a small voices, allowing him pick her up once more, carrying her up the stairs with moon behind them.

they lay down together, with each of their hands in hers, as moon pats her head as she drifts off.
