It was a normal day in Liyue, everything was going smoothly except for one guy.
"What's wrong Kenji?" Ganyu asked as it was now her break time, and the two agreed to have lunch together.
"Do you know Yanfei, the young lady obsessed with laws?"
"Yes, she is also an adeptus, why is that?"
And so Kenji told her what happened thid morning.
Kenji and Zhongli were having a fine tea at the morning when...
"Are you Kenji?"
The demon look at the girl beside him standing still with a book on her hand.
"That's me alright, what do you want?"
Yanfei took out a bunch of papers then placed them at the table. Kenji almost choked seeing the numbers on papers.
"Hold on! What is the meaning of this! I shouldn't be bounded by laws?! Why do i have to pay these taxes?!" He was quite alarmed as Zhongli remained his lips tight, because he was also pressured from Yanfei and doesn't want her to remind of his debt.
"Liyue is an equal country, adepti or demons. They shall still follow the law. That is what Rex Lapis taught us. A contract to all land owners and workers."
"If you refuse then i have to take some drastic matters." She gave an evil smile making the demon's eyebrows fold.
He slowly laugh then told her one thing.
"Let me be clear Yanfei."
He stared at her eyes then muttered the words emphasizing that he will never do.
"I WILL NEVER PAY!"
Kenji sighed finishing his story as Ganyu laughed in his situation after getting freed from jail.
"Not only that but i also need to pay for Mondstadt as well."
"It's been a long time since I've seen you active, what happened while you're in Mondstadt that 2 days?"
"Ah that." Kenji told her the story that he was responsible for the downfall and the rise of the new Lawrence family.
"But it's nothing more peaceful than having lunch seated at the grass just chowing down food enjoying the freedom together."
Finishing his sandwich. He looks at Ganyu enjoying the Miso soup he made.
"Hope i am not interrupting something."
"What seems to be the problem princess?" Kenji sarcastically asked just glancing behind the yuheng as the purple twin-tailed hair girl crossed her arms annoyed from the attitude she is recieving.
"Well i looked onto what Yanfei told me about earlier."
"For the love of Morax can we please not talk about taxes, I'm about to have a brain aneurysm." Kenji snarled annoyed about the topic again.
"I'm going to pay, just give me some time!"
"Now that's more like it, being cooperative."
"Please don't pressure him too much Lady Keqing." Ganyu stood up and faced her boss a bit mad.
"Ganyu, i understand on what you feel, but it's only fair that we do our jobs properly, and just because he is your long term friend, doesn't mean you always have to spoil him."
"S-Spoiling? I'm not." The secretary defended as the two ladies are getting hot from all the arguments they are giving.
"Calm you skirts down you two, i finally rembered that i still have some treasures that i stored behind."
