The breeze was calm that day, even if it was accompanied by the bustling crowds in the local markets. Carts shook as they were pushed and cows passed by, along with other domestic animals. The packed area caused a flock of birds to leave their resting place, obviously disturbed by the ruckus. Flying in a certain formation, these black creatures never noticed the pair of gold eyes watching their every move in pure curiosity.

The same curiosity that leads her to the green hills she is sitting on now.

Her tied hair swayed gently by the wind, causing loose strands to disturb her vision. Rays of sunshine were reflected on her ebony black hair, but the heat can never bother the little being. A sigh escaped her soft pink lips when suddenly-

"Vo!" Guess her playtime is over.

The country nicknamed "Vo" turned around to meet one of her older siblings or as the villagers call her, "The Beauty of the Orient Seas."

Standing in all her glory was the Philippines, her only sister of her other three siblings. The way her ruby hair flow and shines under the sun gave no surprise to Svoboda how she got such a title. A smile graced her features as she held her knees to catch her breath.

"...Piya*..?" The smaller country called out.

She stood up from her sitting position and walk towards the red-haired, pity written all across her face,

"Are you okay?"

"Don't worry about me! But, why did you leave? I told you to stay in front of the bread stand," Svoboda sweatdropped at the figure in front of her.

"Pasenya*," Phil only sighed to her apology.

"It's alright. I should've known anyway the fact that you don't like crowded places," she turned around, back facing Vo, "come on, Papa is waiting for us."

"She did- WHAT?!" Martial busted out laughing knowing the fact that his twin thought she lost the youngest of them all.

Phil puffed her cheeks in annoyance, "well, at least I went to look for her around the local markets! If you lost her, you'd probably leave her be!"

This caused the blue-haired male to stop and glare at his sister," hey!"

The sunshine twins bickered back and forth at each other, not caring about the pair of golden orbs watching them. Vo could only stand still as she watches her older siblings argue, wondering where do they get all that energy from. The door opened up and from their house emerged Katipunan and Gregior in his simple training clothes; a white tank top and baggy shorts.

"That's enough you two," he separated the two devils and sighed tiredly, "Phil, you should know better than teasing Martial-"

"-but he started it first!"

"Did not!"

"Did too!

" You guys-"

And eventually, the twins said their sorries after a threatening sandal by Pearla.

Today, the four sun children were going to the training field. Usually, it would be the trio with Vo staying in the house since she was still too young in the eyes of her parents. But after some pleading by her and the other siblings, Kati finally surrendered. The walk was filled with laughs and races on who would reach the plains first. Gregior and Martial would bring the wooden sticks they use as "weapons", while Phil and Vo would chatter about in the back.

The training field was a wide spot of dried grass with a small hill beside it. A very peaceful terrain to be certain. The boys dropped their items as they took a seat on the grass. The wind cooled them down to a refreshing state before Kati had to get them to stand up again.

" Vo, over here!"

The black-haired country turned her head to the source of the voice to see her sister on top of the small hill beside the field, "I found a spot for us to watch."

Smiling, the younger girl walked to the told spot.

Then, the first match began.

"Don't underestimate me, Gregior."

"Don't worry, I won't be holding back, you impolite rockhead."

The second Katipunan's hand was raised and the two "swords" clashed against each other, a loud CLANK noise was heard as both their grips tighten onto the wood of their possession. Martial clicked his tongue and stumbled back at Gregior's force. He quickly fixes his stance and came running to his older brother, swinging the weapon once more.

I'm not gonna lose this time.

I'll show you.

Meanwhile, Phil and Vo cheered on their brothers in the background. Clapping her hands, Phil rooted for her twin brother despite all the hate she had for him. As for Vo, she cheered for both. Kati kept a keen eye on his sons, from Gregior's natural skill to protect and Martial's ambition to win. Dashes of blue and red were seen on the field due to the speed of both his children. Gregior smiled as he dodged his younger brother's attempts to knock him off.

You are getting better, huh?

He took a swift step to the side from Martial's powerful attacks and hit his torso with a side swing of his wooden sword.

But it's my job to protect you all as the first child. Not you.

Martial choked back the pain when Gregior kicked his side, making him crouch to the ground.

"... I guess you made me overestimate you, buddy."

He walked over to his brother who was holding his stomach,

"Let's call it off okay-"

"Like hell, I will..," he murmured.

Gregior tilted his head, " what was that? Hey, speak up-"

As the red-haired brother tried to get closer to him to hear what he was saying, instead of a repeated sentence, Gregior was met with a nose-crunching headbutt. Taking a few steps back, Gregior held his bleeding nose, giving the perfect amount of time for Martial to stand up and strike his right arm that was still holding the wooden stick.

Finally, with the power of surprise and a front kick to the chest, Martial pointed his wooden sword at his older brother's neck, signaling that the match was over.

The two sisters rushed down the hills as if they were chased by some sort of evil spirit. Martial panted heavily as he dropped his sword and laid down beside his sibling, letting a concerned Katipunan check on the two. Phil hugged both her brothers as Vo stayed beside her father. Unlike her elder sister that was focused on the boys' injuries, Vo was more focused on her father's panicked features.

"Papa," her call caught the red-haired man's attention,"...are you okay?"

"Oh, of course, I am. Don't worry about me and go join your sister alright, little sun"

The built former sailor ruffled his youngest daughter's hair as she nods and runs over to her other siblings. Truthfully, she was right to be concerned. The cold sweat dripping from his forehead was the effect of the lie he told to Vo.

Now, how am I going to avoid Pearla killing me if she sees the boys like this?!
