Austin's point of view (of chapter 1)

We just got released for winter break. I was outside standing around with my friends talking when someone caught my eye. It was Alaina Johnson. I looked over at her and she was looking back so I smiled. She smiled back at me and you don't know how beautiful her smile is. She has long brown hair and is 5'4". Her eyes are the prettiest emerald green I have ever seen. I have been crushin on her since I first saw her freshman year.

I have wanted to ask her out many times but she seems shy. And why would the schools bad girl want to go out with me the good boy?

We are looking at each other until she looks down probably looking at her phone. She looks at me one more time and then leaves.

Once I get home my mom and dad say that they are going to dinner and that I need to take Cassie to her ballet class. I had better things to do but I took her because I had no choice.

We arrive at her ballet academy and I take her to her class. I walk in to meet her teacher when I realize that I already know her. It's Alaina.

"Alaina, this is my big brother Austin," Cassie said.

"I didn't know he was your brother," Alaina answered, "but I do know him."

"How?"

"We go to school together," I added, "we have almost every class together."

"Yay! My brother knows my teacher!" Cassie exclaimed. Alaina and I laughed and I smiled at her.

"Cassie, you ready for your lesson?" Alaina asked.

"YES!" she screamed.

"Hey, can I come back when her lesson is over? I have to grab some groceries," I added. Wait, what am I saying? Why am I running away? More importantly, why does my stomach feel like this? It feels like.... A swarm of butterflies....Uh oh. Well I guess im going to get grocery's now.

"Yeah just be back in half an hour to pick Cassie up."

"Okay. Will do."

I came to get Cassie and started talking to Alaina. "Are you going to that party tonight?"

"No, parties aren't really my thing."

"Oh. Okay." Really? The bad girl doesn't like parties. Well that's a first. I really didn't expect that out of her.

"Did you want me to come?" now that caught me off guard. What will she think if I say yes? What will she think if I said no? Ugh! Why does this have to be so complicated? Why can't I just tell her I like her or ask her out?

"Kinda. But it's ok. Parties really aren't for me either."

"Alaina, will you come to my house? I want to hang out with you. We can watch movies, play games, do makeup, and u can sleep in my room!" Cassie added.

"Umm I don't know. We have to see if it's ok with your parents and mine... and Austin." Wow. She cares what I think. She looks really nervous now. Wait. Does she like me? What am I saying? She would never like me.

"I don't mind," I replied, "it sounds like fun." Actually, im scared to death.

"Ok well u ask your parents and I will ask mine. But first I need to change and drop my school stuff off at home."

"Right. You do that and I will take Cassie home. I can call you with their answer."

"Cool. My number is 757-491-3726." Oh my gosh! I just got my crushes number!!!!!!!!

"Okay talk to you soon." I totally played that chill. But im SO excited!

"Bye Alaina!" Cassie Exclaimed and gave her a hug. Then we walked to our car.

I got home and took Cassie in then went to my mom and dads office. "Hey mom and dad, can I ask you something?"

"Yes, of course." They both said at the same time.

"Cassie wants Alaina to come have a sleepover with her, can she?"

"As long as it's alright with her family." My dad said.

"When can she come?"

"Now is alright."

"Okay. I'll call her."

***

"Hey." She answered. Her voice is so beautiful. I could listen to it every minute of every day.

"Hi it's Austin. They said its fine."

"Cool. My mom said yes too."

"Great. You're spending the night, right?"

"If you and Cassie want."

"Yes. Cassie is SO excited." Actually I was but I wasn't going to tell her that.

"Awesome. Ill pack and head over." This is my chance to see where she lives. No im not a stalker. This isn't wired. Right?

"Actually I was wondering if I could pick you up."

"Sure. My address is 7139 Apricot lane."

"Ok. See ya soon."

"Bye.

Im so excited and really nervous at the same time. My crush is coming to my house! Im afraid she won't like me back. I mean who would? I wouldn't.

I went upstairs and changed into grey yoga pants and my rolling stones tank top. [pic of him in this outfit at the beginning of the chapter] I ran down the stairs and slipped on my black flip flops and headed out the door.

***

I got to her house and walked up to her door. I am so nervous. It takes me 5 minutes until I gain enough courage to ring the doorbell.

She answers and I ask "Ready?"

"Ready." She answered

"Cool. Come on."

We walked out to my car and I open the door for her and close it once she gets in. I consider myself a gentleman. I hope she likes that about me.

***

We got to my house and I opened the door for her. She followed me inside where my parents were waiting. "Hi Mr and Mrs. Parker. Nice to see you again." She said as she smiled.

"It's nice that you came to hang out with Cassie and Austin." My dad said.

"No problem Mr. Parker."

"Please, call us Chris and Emily."

"Okay Chris"

"Well we are going to pick up some pizza. Have fun." Emily, my mom, added.

"Bye."
