Tamaki was practically praying Nejire would turn up because he couldn't handle being with y/n alone.

'Why does she have to be so pretty??'

Y/n: thank you?

T: w-what? DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD?!

Y/n: yeah-

T: I AM SO SO SORRY IF I MADE YOU FEEL UN-UNCOMFORTABLE-

Y/n: Amajiki, you called me pretty! Why would I be uncomfortable?

T: i don't k-know-

Tamaki tries to hide his face with his hands but that idea quickly faded when he heard a voice. A loud voice. Nejire's voice.

N: hiiiii omgg sorry I was late I couldn't find my phone!

Y/n: don't worry Mirio hasn't come y-

And speak of the devil, Mirio pulled up. Almost like him and Nejire came at the same time..

M: hey guys! Hop innnnn

N: I CALL SHOTGUN TAMAKI AND Y/N ARE SITTING IN THE BACK

Y/n: that's fine with me?

Nejire. Nejire. Nejire. Could you make it anymore obvious? Blood was rushing to Tamaki's face to the point where his face was visibly a crimson red. Tamaki sat on the left side and Y/n sat right beside him.

'So c-close..'

Mirio drove off. The ride to the mall is about 10 minutes which wasn't long. Nejire was controlling the music blasting Taylor Swift. Mirio was trying to focus on driving while y/n was on her phone. With about 3 minutes left of the drive, all of a sudden there was buzzing of a phone, Y/n's phone to be exact.

Y/n: hold on I just have to take this call

M: alright, nejire lower the music a bit

N: ok ok fine

Y/n: Hello?... Hi!... Yeah I am out with friends?... I should be home around 8:30... Aren't you home??... I thought today you had the 9-5 shift?? I am so sorry I didn't realize-... oh she hung up.

M: who was that y/n?

Y/n: it was just my mom I was supposed to watch my brother today but I thought her shift was in time to watch him

N: oh, is she upset?

Y/n: well, yeah but it's all good now since she got my aunt to watch her.

M: if you don't mind me asking, where is your dad?

Y/n: oh my mom and him didn't get along so they divorced..

M: I am so sorry for asking-

Y/n: no no it's okay!! You didn't know!!

Tamaki sat in silence while his friends and crush talked. He wanted to join in but knowing him he would blurt out something stupid. They walked into the mall altogether but then Nejire had an idea. 

N: uhhh me and Mirio have to uhh get new shoess

M: we do?
