~Chapter 3~

Dinah's POV
I woke up to an empty bed but I smelled food cooking I looked over to the futon to see Ally still sleep. I crept down the hall and in the kitchen to see Mani in my over-sized sweatshirt and some really tiny shorts. She didn't hear me in the kitchen so I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. I was baffled by my new confidence but I liked it.

Normani's POV
I woke up early in the arms of the most beautiful being I had ever layed eyes on. I unwrapped my body from her arm to notice a bruise on her arm. I made a mental note to ask her about later. I went down the hall trying to find the bathroom and ended up in the kitchen. I had made up my mind to make the girls breakfast. I wandered in to the guest room and seen clothes spread out on a mattress I put on a over-sized sweatshirt that said 'HANSEN 97' I finally found the bathroom I washed my hands and went back in the kitchen. As I was cooking I felt someones arms wrap around my waist I instantly knew it was Dinah I melted into her embrace. I finished cooking and place the food on the table. Ally had woke up to the smell of pancakes she came down and poured the juice. Dinah went to the bathroom and has been there for the longest. I went in to the bathroom but it was empty so I went into the bedroom to see her sitting on the bed staring at the wall. "Is breakfast over?" "No Ally just started come on lets get something to eat." I was confused as why she looked scared but didn't want to push past my limits. "Dinah you alright?" "Yea i am." She finally got up and I seen another bruise on her leg something wasn't adding up but I planned to find out.

Dinah's POV  

I could feel the tension in the room as we ate the food cooked by Mani. I grabbed the girl's plates and washed the dishes right after they were done its a force of habit back home if I didn't I would get beat so I make sure to clean everything right after I use it. I walked into the living room after I finished washing the plates. It was an awkward silence until Ally decide to break it. "Dinah do you two have something going or what?" "No its just when Mani fixed breakfast it brought back a flashback...you guys didn't know." "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry." said Normani "Its okay I haven't told you guy's about my past so its not your fault." "But I still triggered a flashback I feel awful." I got of the couch and sat next to Mani on the floor. Tears started swelling up in her eyes it broke my heart to see her like that. I put her on my lap and cradled her until she calmed down. I looked up and saw Ally smiling at our interaction. Once Mani stopped crying completely an idea popped into my head. I had seen a carnival on my way in not even 30 minutes away from here. "Hey guys do you want to go to the carnival in a little bit??" "Omg yesss!" Normani screeched "Please Ally please??" Normani begged "Yea I'm down." "Okay I'm going to take y'all home and in two hours be ready." "Okay but why so long I umm I have to do something." "Okay." Mani replied not so sure We got in the car and Ally told me the address to their house. I made sure they where in the house before I sped off. It was only 9:30 so around lunch I would be ready. 

After car ride home

I made it home under 5 minutes I went to the trunk of my car and grabbed the hair dye. I closed the trunk and walked in the house and into the bathroom. I starred at my reflection for the longest time confused with everything. I finally came back to reality and started to dye my hair. After I was finished I washed the dye out and then showered. I turned on my phone an went to Spotify. 'You know I'm no good' by Amy Winehouse came on. I got in the shower singing along as I washed my body and hair. After I was done I got out and went to dry my hair and get dressed. after I was done I grabbed my flat iron and did my hair. Grabbing my keys off the counter and started up the car. I noticed I hadn't seen the backyard yet so I went in though the fence. The fence was tall enough people cant see over and it had a pool. The backyard was nice I deiced after the we leave the carnival we can just chill and go swimming. I walked out the fence and got in the car. I grabbed the aux cord and plugged it up I called Ally to let her know that they should bring swimsuits. I also told her that I would have to go buy one so give me another 20 minutes. I went to the store and got this yellow swimsuit and payed for it. I left the store and headed to Ally's house. When I got the there I turned off the car and walked up the driveway. Just as I was about to knock the door swung open. I seen Normani dressed and ready to go she looked gorgeous I noticed I was still staring so I looked away. "Hey you guys ready??" I asked "Yep. Ally hurry up!" Normani yelled "Look here okay I have short legs." I heard Ally say from somewhere in the house. I  chuckled at her silliness. Once Ally got to the door and locked it we went to my car I opened the door for the girls. Mani sat in the front with me and we were off.
