High Tide (Captain Swan)

Chapter 4 : Deal

He was gone for little more than an hour, or so do I thought. I stayed in the cell and did nothing except hearing my stomach make strange noises because I was hungry. Nobody came and no matter how loud I'd scream, it seemed like no one heard me.

However, that dirty pirate finally came back. He came towards the cell, not saying a word and threw me a little peace of bread that I catched and put in my mouth immediatly. The captain stared at me while I was eating and I avoid his look. When I finished, I gave him a glance and asked about the deal.

"Are you accepting the deal I proposed ?" I asked, getting up.

"I am. You'll get everything I need and after that, I'll set you free," he said.

"What do you need ?"

"I'll tell you in a moment, Swan." he replied as he unlocked the cell door and pulled me out of it. He then took out a key and gave me a glance. "No magic against any of the crew and me, alright ?"

I shook my head and he grabbed my arm and guided me out of the room and soon in that hallway I had crossed when I tried to escape. He brought me to his cabin and made me sit on a chair, then sat next to me.

"So, what do you want me to do ?" I asked.

"There's actually a few steps in my whole plan, but I won't tell you everything now. I'll tell you when we're done with everything," he answered.

"Okay, so what do I start with, then ?"

"Do you know what magic beans do ?" he asked.

"No. Is that what I need to get you ?"

"Stop interrupting me and yes, but it's not the only thing. Magic beans allow to transport between magical realms and I need to get to a place called Neverland, to get a deathly poison and finally get my revenge. First part of the plan is to get the magic bean and for that, we'll have a beanstalk to climb," explained the captain.

"A beanstalk ?" I said.

"A giant one. The last beans are hidden on top of it and guarded by the last and worst of the giants. That's why I need your magic," he added.

"So I need to get you a magic bean and then get you to Neverland to get a poison, then I'm free ?" I resumed.

"Exactly."

A giant beanstalk ? Neverland ? Those also existed ? Like the rest of what I've seen in the enchanted forest, those places were probably different from the Disney stories I knew.

"O-okay, fine." I finally said.

"You're also part of the crew now. I won't keep you in that cell, but you do not escape. If you do, I'll find you don't worry and you'll regret it, probably your family too. You don't want them to get hurt, right ? If I had stick to my other plan, I would have got you killed so you owe me a favor and that is to stay on that boat until I tell you you can leave. And I still have the handcuffs," he said, showing me the metal things that could block my magic.

"Okay. I understand," I replied simply. I was not in the mood to argue anything and I did not want my famoily to get hurt. "Can I just know... what was your first plan ?" I asked.

"Someone is looking for you and wants her revenge. Any idea who ?" he answered.

"Regina ?" I guess, knowing that even after a year she was still looking for us. She was back to being the evil queen and hopefully we were able to protect our kingdom from her.

"Exactly, Swan. I would have given you to get a magic bean and you she would probably have killed you. She's mad at you for breaking the curse and... taking her son, right ? Anyways, I just think I can trust you more than her," he declared.
