At the Kamogawa Boxing Gym everything was as usual when someone walked in the gym

"Takamura." A girl tapped on the tall man's shoulder
"Hmmm?"Takamura turns around "Kazumi, hey kiddo." He smiles
"Hey." She smiled
"You here to see Miyata?" Takamura winks
"You're on to me." She blushes
"One sec, ohhhh Miyata!"Takamura becons Miyata "Someone's here to see you." He says in a sing song voice

"Huh?"Miyata pauses what he was doing as soon as he saw who came to see him. Miyata's normally stern face light up like a Christmas tree 
"Kazumi." He practically jumps over the ropes of the ring "What brings you here?" Miyata jogs up to her
"I got done with work early today I thought it would be nice to see you in your element." Kazumi's face started turning red trying to ignore all the eyes on them "Is that ok?"
"Yes of course I'm always happy to see you." Miyata pats her shoulder

"Whoa I've never seen Miyata act like that before." Ippo paused his practicing seeing a pretty petite girl with reddish brown hair and blue eyes beaming up at Miyata and Miyata returning her smile.

"That's his childhood sweet heart Kazumi Inagawa" Kimura tells Ippo
"Ohhh Inagawa I recognize that name." Ippo says
"Don't worry about it."Takamura says behind them
"Well now I am." Ippo says

"Wanna get out of here?" Miyata asked wiggling his eye brows
"Ichiro don't you need to practice?" Kazumi blushes knowing what he was suggesting
"I've been practicing here all day I need to do my cardio." He smirks
"Oh gosh." Her face turns redder

"Get outta here before I tell the chief on you two." Aoki hollars

"Ms. Inagawa." Chief Kamogawa makes his presence known to her
"Good afternoon sir." She bows
"Here to see our Prince?" Chief Kamogawa looks at Miyata
"Yes, I'd come see him every day if I could." Kazumi smiles at Miyata
"I believe it." Chief Kamogawa smiles getting Miyata to roll his eyes at chief Kamogawa "Before I let you steal him could I talk to you for a moment Ms. Inagawa?" The chief asks
"My father called didn't he?" Kazumi hangs her head
"Yes miss." The chief nods
"Oh geez ok."
Kazumi followed the chief to his office with Miyata tagging along keeping a close pace behind Kazumi making Miyata look like a some kind of body guard.

"What is going on?" Ippo asks
"I'll tell you later." Takamura taps the back of his head

4:44pm

"So Takamura are you going to tell me the deal with Miyata's girlfriends name?" Ippo asks as he jogged beside him as they did their road work
"You can be so annoying about Miyata." Takamura exclaims
"I'm just curious." Ippo says "I mean I get how Miyata got such a pretty girl but why was there such a fuss with the Chief?" He explained himself
"You don't let up do you." Takamura stops but jogs in place "Miyata's girlfriend well her father is a Yakuza boss." Takamura says in a hushed voice
"No way?!" Ippo yelps
"Shut up will you!" Takamura smacks Ippo upside the head
"Ouch." Ippo rubs his head "That's why her name sounded familiar." Ippo said
"Yeah don't say anything to Miyata okay, he likes to pretend it isn't true." Takamura starts jogging again
"Yeah?"
"Yeah to make a long story short when Miyata's dad lost the fight that broke him well Miyata senior lost a big chunk of money so as to not ruin himself or his family Miyata senior made a deal with Kazumi's dad." Takamura starts
"What kind of deal?" Ippo asks
"Listen will ya." Takamura sighs "Miyata senior made a deal with Kazumi's dad to keep his fortune inorder to make it so his son would have an upper hand when it came to boxing." Takamura explains
"Wow." Ippo says
"Miyata hated it." Takamura says "He begged his father not to do it, but Miyata senior did it anyway."
"Well I guess everything happens for a reason Miyata's got a hot girlfriend." Ippo smiles
"Miyata wasn't always nice to Kazumi but I think he always had a soft spot for her." Takamura explains
"Oh geez."
" I remember when Kazumi confessed to Miyata it was something else." Takamura says
"I can imagine." Ippo says
"He was all too cool for school about it." Takamura smiles
"I don't understand." Ippo says
"Don't worry about it." Takamura shakes his head
"No fair." Ippo sighs
