Sweetie sat on top of the tower, overlooking the city. The moon was full that night, turning the river under her silver. Two days passed since the incident with the Duke. Sweetie still thought back on it frequently.

Sweetie hasn't heard from the Paw Patrol or the Duke since yesterday. Whenever she tried with them, they were too busy to talk longer than a couple of seconds. She was told the Duke had caused a lot of damage as he tried to escape. Multiple broken furniture, a fallen chandelier, and a broken window.

Sweetie was glad she could help them, but she still felt they weren't friends. Not yet, at least. Sweetie guessed that her past with them still made her untrustworthy. Still, she felt contempt that they could do something right together.

The brick wall lit up from a light source behind Sweetie. "Kinda chilly out here," someone said from behind.

Sweetie turned her head to see who it was. She noticed the pointed ears and built structure. Sweetie's first thought was that it was Chase. Sweetie felt better when she realized the German Shepherd had one red eye and one blue eye. She smiled. "Hey, Dom," she said.

"Hey, Sweetie." Dom walked up next to her and sat down. "What are you doing up here?"

Sweetie shrugged. "I don't know. It's peaceful up here," she replied. "And you?"

"Looking for a peaceful place," Dom confessed.

"You wanted a break?" Sweetie guessed.

"Yeah, it's pretty busy down there."

"What happened with the Duke?"

"I'm not entirely sure. Chase told me that the Duke would return to Flappington tomorrow afternoon. He also said something about the Princess making him do some community service."

Sweetie smiled. She was glad to hear that the Duke was getting what he deserved. "So, what about you and the Paw Patrol?"

"Oh, right," Dom said. "We're going back to Adventure Bay tomorrow morning."

"Oh," Sweetie said in a sad tone. She thought she would have more time to get along better with the others. She wanted to be friends with them. Something about having Dom there with her made her desire that even more. She began to speculate what her feelings were towards the German Shepherd. Sweetie realized her speculations were correct.

Dom noticed and tried to comfort her. "Hey, don't worry," he said, bringing Sweetie back into reality. "You're invited to come to visit anytime you want."

"I am?" she asked. She wasn't sure she heard that right. "Was it your idea?"

Dom laughed. "I did think about it, but no. Skye was the one to say the idea aloud to the team. They all agreed that it would be a good idea."

Sweetie didn't know what to say. Ten minutes ago, she thought she wasn't their friend. Sweetie was now getting told that she got invited to the Lookout by the Paw Patrol. "Are you serious?"

"Of course," Dom said. "We'd like to get to know you better, you know? Hang out and stuff like that."

"That sounds amazing," Sweetie exclaimed. She hugged Dom out of joy. It took her a moment to realize what she was doing. Sweetie stepped away, reddening bright pink. "Sorry," she said softly. She kept her gaze on the ground, trying to hide her blush.

Dom was shocked by the sudden move. His heart skipped a heartbeat, or maybe three. The hug wasn't tight, but it removed all the air from his lungs. He felt his cheeks get warm as his blood moved towards them. Dom smiled. "You don't need to be sorry," he said. "It felt rather good."

"You think so?" Sweetie asked rhetorically. "So you're not mad about it?"

"Of course not," he said. Dom realized that it was the moment to express his feelings. The full moon and the clear sky made it the perfect place. "Sweetie, if I must be honest, I was hoping for a hug."

"You . . . you were?" Sweetie could feel her cheek getting redder.

"Of course. Sweetie, I have to confess something to you. You're the most beautiful and amazing pup I've ever met. I only met you last week, I think, but that doesn't change the fact that I like you."

Sweetie couldn't comprehend what Dom was telling her. Those feelings that she was unsure of earlier were now being confirmed. Hearing Dom confess his feelings made her want to reveal hers.

"Dom, I like you, too."

Dom was shocked. He didn't expect her to feel the same way. "You . . . you like me, too."

Sweetie laughed. "Yes, Dom. You're handsome, strong, and kind. You gave me a second chance even when I didn't feel like I deserved it. You saw something in me that I didn't. There's no way I couldn't like you." Sweetie thought about what she said. "Well, it may be love."

"You love me?" Dom said. "I thought I would be the only one that felt this way."

Sweetie leaned over and kissed him. "No, Dom," she said when she parted. "You're not."

Dom smiled. His heart was pounding so fast. Dom thought it might burst through his chest. "I'm glad to hear it." He kissed her again. When they parted, Dom jumped around and howled out of joy. Sweetie laughed.

Sweetie and Dom sat down and watched the moon over the city. They couldn't be happier to have each other's company. Sweetie had her head on Dom's shoulder, and Dom's head was on the terrier's head. They could've stayed up there all night long, but their moment was interrupted by Dom's pup tag.

"Dom, come in," Chase said.

"Dom here," Dom replied without moving his head. "What's up?"

"I just wanted to know where you were," Chase replied. "The Princess invited us to eat with them as a thanks."

"Okay, we're on our way," Dom replied.

"We?" Chase asked.

Dom hung up before any follow-up questions could be asked. Sweetie laughed. "Is it okay to hang up on your leader like that?"

"He'll understand," Dom reassured. "He understands better than anyone."

"What does that mean?"

"I'll tell you another time," Dom got up and kissed Sweetie one more time. "Come on," he said. "I'm starving."
