Slyvia fixed her dress, her hair and lip gloss as Theo slipped his jacket back on.

Slyvia quickly fixed her bed, checking herself over again in the mirror to make sure it didn't look any different.

Theo wrapped his arm around her, kissing her shoulder. "Here I thought you were avoiding or just using me," he said, his doubts erased thanks to her actions tonight.

Slyvia sighed, leaning into him. "I'm sorry," she breathed.

"I understand, the reporter, she's been snooping and you thought I had said something about us before your parents were chill with me, didn't you?"

Perfect excuse.

"Maybe," Sylvia lied.

"I wouldn't have, even if she was asking me questions. I had no idea she was coming after you guys. If I had known-"

She quickly stopped him with a kiss. "I know. I'm sorry. It's just been a rough couple of weeks."

"Do you want to go out sometime?" Theo asked.

Slyvia laughed. "Are you asking me out on a date?"

"Maybe," he nervously smiled, rocking on the balls of his feet waiting for her answer.

She smiled, only Theo would be nervous about asking her out on a date after he already had sex with her and almost went at it again just now.

"I don't know," she teased. "You're not really my type, and I don't know if I'm really looking for a relationship right now, I'm kinda focusing on me," she continued.

"Oh shut up," Theo sighed, pulling away from her, running his hand through his hair, sighing.

"Make me," she teased, pulling on the back of his jacket.

"Don't start something we can't finish."

"Or what?"

He groaned. "You're the worst."

"Yet you want to go on a date with me."

"You haven't answered if you'd go out with me," he pointed out, his face clouded with doubt.

"Of course I'll go out with you," she smiled, wrapping her arms under his jacket, around his waist. "I thought you'd never ask."

"I'll be lucky if we even make it out the door," he smiled, relaxing at her response.

Slyvia smirked. "We should head down, they might think we've started something we can't finish."

"I totally could finish."

"We both could."

"Yes, we could," Theo smirked.

"You're a terrible influence."

"If they ask, it was all you, and that dress is at fault."

"I wore it on purpose for you."

"It was perfect, I love it, I hope you wear it on our date."

"Maybe I will, or maybe I'll wear something you actually have to take me out in."

Theo rolled his eyes, smiling.

"Do you think you can handle the rest of the night?" Sylvia asked, as they started to head downstairs.

"I don't have a choice do I?"

She stopped at the bottom of the stairs, turning and wiping her lip gloss off his lips. "Nope."

They walked into her parents and Matthew having a discussion about work and small talk.

Theo gently intertwined his fingers with hers and gently led her to the table where her mother had put out dessert and board games.

"Want to play?" Theo asked, grabbing Sorry. "I'd normally suggest strip poker but I think we'd better play it safe," he whispered.

Slyvia rolled her eyes, smacking his chest with the back of her hand, grabbing the box and setting up the game. "Behave."

"I can't help it when I'm around you."

Sylvia smiled, perhaps her life could finally be normal again.
