[y/n] leans back in his seat, his eyes staring at the ceiling. his feet are resting on his desk, crossed at the ankle, with his hands stuck in his pockets and a pencil balancing above his upper lip.
the room was extremely silent, the only noises being the scratching of pencils on paper and the quiet breaths of students.
to anyone looking at [y/n], it would appear like his eyes were staring at nothing. however, he wasn't; his eyes were fixed on a small creature clinging to the ceiling.
he wasn't sure if it was a ghost, demon, monster, or whatever, but he was sure he was the only one in the room who could see it.
he could always see those things. and he used to think everyone else could, too. he knew better now.
not even his parents could see them.
but this little creature wasn't out of the ordinary in [y/n]'s opinion. he was used to seeing such creatures around his school all the time. they were never very large, and he had never seen them attack anyone, so he thought they were fine.
maybe they're just little pets of the universe.
a loud bang tore him from his thoughts. he turned his head in the direction the noise had come from—as did all of the students—and only heard the quiet click of his pencil falling to the floor.
a couple students turned away quickly, the audible sound of phones buzzing in pockets overtaking the silent room.
to everyone's surprise, the teacher didn't say anything to discourage the students from checking the notifications. a few brave students, including the class president, removed the devices from their pockets. there was a moment of utter silence before the president made an announcement.
"there was an explosion in the second year chemistry lab. the students had to evacuate the classroom, but everyone seems to be safe."
a couple people released relieved sighs, presumably those with friends in the class. as students began returning their attention to the assignment they had been formerly working on, an annoucement rings throughout the school.
"there was an explosion in the chemistry lab in the east wing. professionals have been called to handle the situation, but until further notice, we will be evacuating the school. please collect your things and follow the teachers out of the school building."
the students surrounding [y/n] immediately started rushing to pack their things. [y/n] only reacted with a small sigh, his eyes glancing up to the ceiling to see the creature he had been watching no longer in its former place.
instead, the creature was closer to the wall, walking through the surface in the direction the explosion sound had come from.
[y/n] tilts his head, though doesn't think much of it as he starts to pack away his things. by the time he's standing on his feet, most students have completely left the room, the rest of them on their way out.
the teenager trails behind, wanting to follow the creature without attracting attention—he was curious why it was heading towards the second year chemistry lab. as he continued to follow the creature, he came across others that were also scurrying across the floor in the same direction.
taking a turn to enter the east wing, [y/n] stops in his tracks, his eyes locking on another creature. it was larger than any other he had seen before—about the size of a full-grown man. and now its attention was on [y/n].
he didn't realize it, but his blood suddenly turned cold, fear coursing through his body. i'm going to die.
the words echoed through his mind as this strange thing rushed towards him, opening what [y/n] assumed to be its mouth. he only managed to take half a step back to turn to run when the creature seemed to implode upon itself, the overwhelming negative feeling surrounding it seeming to fade out a bit. the only thing mainting its shape was a finger on the floor of a completely different color than the creature had been itself.
"a finger..?" he whispers to himself, before finally having a logical thought surrounding the situation, his head spinning around quickly to spot a teenager behind him.
the stranger was taller than [y/n] with quite a lazy stance. his hands were shoved into the pockets of his black school uniform that clearly didn't belong to [y/n]'s school. the white hair on this stranger's head accented his brilliant blue eyes that were peeking out just above the round, black sunglasses resting on the male's nose.
"what are you doing here? they said everyone evacuated. it isn't safe here."
[y/n] turned his head again, looking back at the reamins of the 'creature'. "did you do that?"
"obviously. nobody else is here to take care of it." the stranger started walking towards the thing, crouching down to pick up the finger before whispering something to himself.
"what is that thing?" [y/n] questions, a hand lifting to point at the finger in the stranger's clutches.
"this is a special grade cursed object. never expected to see one of sukuna's fingers here." the white haired boy turned his head to look at [y/n]. "you have cursed energy attached to you, so i'm going to have to take you with me. hope you didn't have any plans."
"uh- not really.." [y/n] stared quietly at the white haired stranger as the taller male started to approach, the finger held tightly in his hand. "who are you?"
the stranger smiled in response, though it seemed to hold a hint of a smirk. he waited to respond to [y/n] until he was standing in front of him.
"it's rude to ask for a name before giving your own."
"i'm [l/n] [y/n], a second year here."
the white haired boy responded with a cocky tone in his voice. "my name is gojou satoru, and i'm the strongest jujutsu sorcerer." with that, 'gojou' lifted his hand and touched his fingers to [y/n]'s forehead, his vision going black.
