REALLY REALLY 𓂅̸ Ranboo
〔 chapter fourteen, sweet dreams, ranboo. 〕"HEY, RANBOO," Shady lightly nudged his friend in the ribs. "Can I wear your hoodie?" The boy quietly asked, his eyes still trained on the screen of the television. "It's cold in here." He finished.
Ranboo glanced at the hoodie he'd previously taken off, nodding his head without a second thought. It wasn't until he handed the hoodie to Shady that he'd frozen in his seat, his cheeks tinting a light color of pink at the realization that the older boy would be wearing his clothes (a hoodie that'd be way too big for Shady).
Shady slipped the hoodie over their head after taking it from Ranboo, ruffling their hair underneath the hood. The material hung over his eyes, blinding him completely. He turned his body towards Ranboo, waving at the taller boy with the sleeves of the hoodie. "Hey, how stupid do I look right now?"
"Extremely stupid." Ranboo answered with a laugh. He reached over and pulled the hood off of Shady's head, nervously smiling when he met eyes with the older boy. Ranboo hovered his hand over Shady's head, silently asking for permission to touch the other boy's pinkish-blondish hair. Shady nodded, slightly lowering their head for Ranboo, who then ran his fingers in the boy's hair and attempted to fix it. "Um..."
Ranboo leaned back a little, mindlessly cocking his head to the left (a habit he mirrored from Shady) in curiosity. "There." He lightly patted the top of Shady's head with a cheeky smile. "I fixed it."
"Wait... You have an eyelash." He paused. Ranboo leaned in close again (maybe a little too close) and carefully picked off the eyelash on Shady's cheek. "I got it."
A beat of silence.
Shady turned red at the small distance between them, still smiling like an idiot. Ranboo himself noticed that the gap between them was one that was very small, and while he probably should've leaned away, he didn't. A for a moment, he thinks that they're just going to stare at each other-but then Shady shifted his gaze from Ranboo's eyes down to his lips.
"...Can I?" Shady quietly asked.
Ranboo swallowed thickly before nodding his head. "Yeah."
Shady leaned forward to close the gap between them and that was when Ranboo shot up in his bed. The eighteen year old boy heaved a heavy breath, feeling his cheeks burn up as he turned to glance at the clock in the corner of his room.
4:29 AM.
He placed a hand over his heart, breathing heavily as he felt it race against his hand. "Oh, my God." Ranboo whispered to himself. The boy lied back down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. "No, no, no." Ranboo told himself. "This can't be happening."
Oh, but it was happening.
He'd dreamt of kissing his best friend-a friend who most likely harbored only platonic feelings for him.
Ranboo really fucked up this time, didn't he? How could he let himself fall for someone who'd he'd met only met two months ago? He knew better than to let himself do that.
This couldn't be happening.
This wasn't happening. All he had to do was deny it and it'd all go away, right? Right. That was all he had to do: ignore his feelings and never think about it again. So... that's what he was going to do. Run away like he always did whenever he crushed on his closest friends.
