[3] Confessions

"Okay. Well, we should probably get Jenna and Emily in here so we can explain to them what happened, right?" Elliana says. Always the mature one to take control of a situation. Somehow she was able to stay calm through all of this. Her and Lev hadn't said a single word to each other. It was probably very awkward for them, to be honest. Not that it wasn't awkward for Piper and Jentzen, but it was different. Lev and Elliana had always had this 'sibling vibe', but for some reason Piper and Jentzen just hadn't ever felt that. Whenever someone called them siblings, it made them both very uncomfortable.

Piper called Emily and Jenna, and they both walked into the room, cautiously taking seats on the sofa, looking around worriedly.

"You know, we aren't made of glass," Lev joked, and the tension in the air seemed to dissipate a bit. Everyone except for Jentzen laughed - he seemed to be taking this the hardest. Piper made a mental note to have a conversation with him afterwards. Many conversations had to be had.

"Okay, so, obviously, this didn't go exactly as planned," Piper said, and Lev and Elliana nodded in agreement. Jentzen had resumed his staring at the floor.

"Let me guess," Jenna said. "Lev and Elliana?"

They nodded. "And you and Jentzen?" Emily added, and Piper nodded.

Jenna whistled. "Well, isn't this just a big mess."

Everyone (except for Jentzen) laughed, and the mood was finally lightened a bit.

"So, did you and Lev..." Emily trailed off, biting her lip.

"Yeah," Lev said, looking at the fabric of the couch. Piper tried to smile, but it came out as more of a grimace.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," Emily said, and Jenna and her wrapped Piper in a hug.

"But look at the bright side," Jenna said. "You guys had a great relationship. Maybe you weren't meant for each other, but that's okay. You have all these memories, and you can remember them fondly. And just because you're relationship is over, doesn't mean your friendship has to be to. Okay?"

Piper nodded, and sniffled. "Thanks guys. You really are the best friends a girl could ever wish for." And she gave them a genuine smile.

Just then, Hunter came walking down the stairs. "Hey, Piper, you ready to..." he trailed off when he saw everyone sitting in silence on the sofa. Hunter sighed, and took a seat himself.

"Let me guess, didn't go as planned?" he asked. Everyone was silent.

Jenna sighed. "Well, Emily got a complete stranger and I got a friend of mine."

"Right..." Hunter said slowly. "That doesn't sound too bad." He looked around the group, waiting for someone to say something.

Eventually, Elliana cleared her throat. "Well, me and Lev got each other."

Hunter sucked in air, and turned to look between Jentzen and Piper. "And you guys?" Piper nodded.

Hunter sighed, before getting to his feet and standing in front of them.

"Okay, listen up guys. I know that right now, it might seem like a big mess. Everything's probably really confusing, and that's okay. I love all of you, and especially you Piper, and I've always supported Lev and Piper's relationship, but you need to take a step back and realise that you're just kids. You weren't meant to be, and that's okay. When you're older you'll look back on the mementoes fondly. I know that right now everything everything might seem really messy and horrible, but it will get better. You have the rest of your lives - everything doesn't need to change right now. Make the most of this. Just have fun!"

Everyone is silent for a while. No one's ever heard Hunter make such a powerful speech. Piper gets up from her place on the sofa and hugs him. "Thanks. I think we all needed to hear that." Everyone nods in agreement.

"Okay," Jenna says. "We need to film something, right?"

Piper nods. "We do."

"I know it's probably the last thing you guys want right now, but the fans deserve to know what's going on. They've been there to support us forever, and I don't think it's going to be any harder than filming a normal video," Hunter said. The squad nodded and prepared them self from the video.

Hunter pulled piper to himself. "Hey, what's up with him?" He gestures towards Jentzen, still staring aimlessly at the floor.

Piper shrugged. Hunter suggested that she should check on him before the video started. She walked up to him and gently put a hand on his shoulder. He startled and turned around quickly.

"Come with me outside for a sec?" Piper asked.

Reluctantly, Jentzen nodded and followed Piper outside. They took a seat by the pool and sat cross-legged, facing each other.

"Okay, what's going on?" Piper asked.

"What do you mean?"

She sighed. "Look, I get that this whole thing is strange, to say the least. And I'm probably just as confused as you are. But there's obvious that there's something else going on here. I mean, do you really hate me that much?"

He looked at her seriously. "Piper, I've never hated you. Ever." He sighed. "It's just..."

"What?" She asked, pressing him for more information.

He immediately grew defensive. "I don't know, okay?!" he said, raising his voice.

Piper put a hand on his shoulder, and he calmed down. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry."

He shook his head. "No, it's okay. I'm sorry for snapping at you, you didn't deserve that. I just don't really know how to deal with this. And I do have something to tell you, but I can't tell you it yet."

Piper smiled gently. "That's alright. Take all the time you need, okay?"

He nodded and smiled back at her.

"Do you think you'd be ready to film the video?" Piper asked cautiously.

Jentzen nodded. "I can try, as long as I don't have to say too much."

He was scared that he would give it away, and his fans would somehow discover their secret.

Piper nodded, and leaned forward for a hug. He wrapped his arms around her and she lay her head on his shoulder. They pulled apart and smiled at each other.

"You ready?" Piper asked.

Jentzen sighed. "Always."
