Xiaother ~ Too Long Apart ~

~Xiao Pov~
I was on the topmost balcony of Wangshu Inn, trying to enjoy my day for the few moments I had to myself. Emphasis on 'trying'. My whole day was ruined when HE came to the inn. I mean the Fatui Harbinger. I believe they called him 'Childe'. A perfect name for him, in my opinion. Not that anyone cares about it.  He is probably on his way to Mondstat... Again. He's been visiting the Anemo Archon's city once a week for  a while now, supposedly to visit someone. I could care less though, I have bigger things to worry about.

I used my magic to teleport myself onto the roof, hoping not to be seen by him so that I didn't have to talk with him. Unfortunately, he somehow sees me and waves me down to him. Bracing myself for the extremely awkward situation about to happen, I teleport down to the balcony he was standing on and sit down across from him, after which he sits down as well.

"It is nice to see you again Xiao! How have you been?" He asked. I stay silent, not knowing if he had forgotten what he had done, or if he just didn't care.
"Oh come now, don't be so cold. I'm trying to talk with you, friend!" He says in his ever-so-cheerful tone. My expression hardens into a glare.
"Friend?" I asked, then scoff a bit.
"After what you've done, you are NOT my friend. Lumine may have forgiven you, but that doesn't mean I will, Fatui. We are far from friends." I grow at him.
"That hurts," He says with a puppy-like expression, "I was just trying to be nice. Besides, you know I won't attack Liyue again. I'm under a contract now, remember?" He asked with his ever-present smirk on his face.
"I am unlikely to forget, but no matter. Just because you are under a contract doesn't mean I can trust you, or what you do. If you really want to be friends, you need to earn my trust first, Fatui," I said with poison in my voice.
He seemed to think for a minute. No matter what he does, I won't trust him, especially since he's a Harbinger of the Fatui.
"Nah, too much work," he says, leaning back in his chair "besides, I have bigger things to worry about."

I wasn't really paying attention, since Lumine had asked me to help find her brother, whom I had met a long time ago. I remember who he is.  He had helped Morax break my contract with the old god, after which Morax had given me my name. After the War of Khaenri'ah, he seemed to become more distant and distracted from us. He left a few hundred years later, which had caused me to become even more distant than usual. I had seen him as a companion, a friend even. Although there was a feeling I could not explain that I felt, but only while around him. I realized that I had become attached to him after he left, which was why I was so distant.
Lesson learned: Do not become attached to mortals.
Though, I probably should help Lumine some. The Abyss Order has become more active as of late, which is strange, as they have usually left public areas alone, since they avoided people up until now. Lumine said that she was coming today to look for her brother with me. This should be interesting.

~5 Hours Later~

Does he ever shut up? He's very annoying and he's using up my patience for the day. I could just leave him, but then Morax would probably tell me to have a better 'social life' whatever that means. I wish I could just kill him, but I can't harm him, since he's under a contract with Morax as well. The only thing I have to do is to wait for Lumine, so I'll just deal with it, I guess.

A/N - What do you think? I've been working on my writing skills a bit by doing role plays with my friends, so I think I'm getting better:) This is my 3rd story now, I think. Sorry for discontinuing the others, but I plan to keep this one going the best so can, and I really like this fandom as well as the game, so I'm trying to write a story based on one of the role plays with my friends that I did. Sorry if I don't post very often, but I hope you enjoy:)
