"Bitch, you better be joking!" Was his immediate reaction to the nonsense that just left Wei Wuxian's mouth.
There was nothing more that Jiang Cheng wanted to do at that moment than hit his brother with a frying pan he was holding in his hand. Who the fuck did he thought he is to do such a thing in his place. There was no way in hell that he was going to do it.
"Oh come on, A-Cheng. It's going to be fun." He exclaimed.
"Oh come on, A-Cheng. It's going to be fun." He parroted him. "No, you fucker, I am going to kill you. Why is it that you always do shit behind my back and somehow I always end up involved in it? Why does it always have to be me? Can't you bug someone else, please?"
He snorted, and leaned against the kitchen aisle. "You are the best one to tease." He stated, and Jiang Cheng immediately threw a kitchen towel at him.
"I am not going anywhere. You agreed to this without my permission, so now undo it yourself. "
"I personally think that it's a good idea." Said a voice from the living room.
Jiang Cheng made an indignant face and gave the man a stern look.
"Excuse me, but whose side are you on, huh?" He asked sarcastically. "If you like the couch you're sitting on so much, you can sleep on it tonight." He went back to flipping the pancakes. "You can order takeout because I am not giving any food to traitors."
He heard a lighthearted chuckle, and after a moment, his husband came into the kitchen and hugged him from the back.
"Don't suck up. You can't buy your way into my good graces that easily." He stated.
"Oh, really?" Jiang Cheng felt a soft kiss at the nape of his neck, and a shiver ran down his spine.
Wei Wuxian groaned and waved his hand in front of his brother's face. "Don't forget that I am still here. You can take that to the bedroom after I leave."
Zheng Ai giggled, moving away from his husband, and A-Cheng gave him a side eye. "Then leave. What are you still waiting for? My answer won't change."
Each time Lan Wangji leaves for a business trip, Wei Wuxian comes to bother him.
"Go and annoy your son."
"Haha, you're so funny, A-Cheng. You know very well that Sizhui is studying abroad."
"Then call him."
"Different time zones, you asshole."
Jiang Cheng let out a frustrated groan. "Whatever, then go and bother A-Huan, or your parents-in-law... God, even go to Lan Qiren, just leave me in peace, please."
Wei Wuxian pouted. "You're so mean."
"Don't be so stubborn, honey. You would use some time to relax, and spend some quality time with your brother. Why won't you use the fact that our kids aren't home? I will also be away for the next few days and you will be here, bored, all by yourself. The house will be quiet and empty.." He continued, and Jiang Cheng's expression turned dreamy,
"You're not helping me at all this way." Wei Wuxian complained.
"I am trying, alright?" Zheng Ai said, looking at his husband with puppy eyes.
Jiang Cheng put down the spatula and threw his hands in the air with resignation. "Okay, fine. I will go, but if I die you can all feel disowned. Fairy and A-Yi are going to inherit everything."

"I already regret it" Jiang Cheng complained as soon as the plane's back door opened and the first person jumped out. "I hate you, Wei Wuxian."
"Don't get cold feet now, Jiang Cheng. It's going to be an amazing experience, you will see." He said, and gave the man that was jumping with him a nod, saying that he's ready.
"That motherfucker, I am going to get back at him." He vowed to himself, getting in response a chuckle from his own instructor.
No more than five seconds passed when he said it's their turn and threw them off of the plane, earning a loud scream from Jiang Cheng in response. He felt as if his life flew in front of his eyes. But that quickly stopped.
He opened his eyes and his breath got taken away. Clear sky and the greenery of the ground from this perspective were awe-inspiring. The same goes for the city view in the distance. A-Cheng will never admit it out loud, but at least this time Wei Wuxian was right.
After experiencing so much stress in the past and currently with his job he was glad that he could at least let the tension out of himself for a moment. These past years have been like a fairy tale to him, but in the back of his mind there was always something that tried to tell him that sooner or later it would be over and he would return to the colorless, sad reality. Sometimes he was too afraid to blink, too afraid that Zheng Ai won't be there to greet him with a kiss, smile, and a look that tells him immediately that he is the center of his world, that there will be no A-Yi to call him 'Dad'. And although he woke up everyday and they were still a part of his life, the anxiety remained a steady part of his life.
At that precise moment he felt at peace, like if none of those things mattered. Even when they landed some part of that feeling remained in him. Maybe everyone was right, maybe he really needed to chill out and stop worrying about every small thing that is slightly out of order. It doesn't matter if the world is going to fall on his head, he should live in the moment. Well, at least from time to time.
"Hey!" Wei Wuxian yelled into his ear, hanging onto his arm. "How did you like it?"
"It wasn't that bad." He stated truthfully as they made their way to the car, where A-Ai was already waiting for them.
As soon as Jiang Cheng appeared in his range of sight he smiled widely, and walked slowly towards him.
"Did you miss me?" A-Cheng asked teasingly, hugging him and giving him a soft peck on the lips.
"Always." He winked and chuckled. "Let's go home, A-Yi and Zizhen are already preparing dinner."
"Oh, Zizhen is here? I wasn't aware that he came back from New York." Jiang Cheng was surprised because it wasn't summer yet, and somehow his son's boyfriend managed to fit a trip to China into his busy schedule of The Juilliard School student. Yes, A-Yi got himself a music prodigy as the second half.
"Yes, he is giving a concert or something like that here. He's staying for two weeks. Jingyi didn't know about it either, but he's over the moon right now. I said that it's okay for him to stay at our house during his stay, considering his parents are in Singapore right now. I hope you don't mind. I didn't really had the time to ask you since he came when I was leaving."
"No, of course I don't mind. I adore him, he's such a nice young man. The only thing that matters to me is that A-Yi is happy with him."
"Alright alright, let's get going because I am already starving." Wei Wuxian complained as he got into the backseat of the car. "Zizhen is a great cook."
"Idiot." Jiang Cheng muttered, but after one last kiss they did get into the car.
There was something about Zheng Ai that even after those seven years of knowing him lit a fire in Jiang Cheng's heart. He loved that man, and the life that came along with him.
