With a tired smile, he closed the door to leave the two boys in the room be. Kirishima explores his friend's new room while the system was laying on the bed, Mirai snuggling up next to them.
"So, how are you guys planning on telling the others?" he seats on the desk chair backward, arms crossed on top of the backrest.
"We've been working on a presentation of sorts, so we should be done a day before we go back"
"Mind if I take a look?"
"Not at all, just turn on the screen, I haven't locked my computer. It's there on the desktop" he began scrolling through his phone.
Turning the chair around, the redhead lights up the screen. Sure enough, the project was there with the label "Totally not secret presentation: science help us all"
With a quiet chuckle, he skims through the slides "maybe add some pictures, cause not everyone in the class is book-learning"
"We want to leave that after we reduce the wordiness of it"
"I can help you know"
Sitting up, the host looked surprised, only to look off to the side for a moment and began whispering to themselves "you think so..."
"Who is it Akira?"
He keeps looking down, his face changing expressions until he nods and smiles. Looking back at their friend "sorry, the others wanted to give their opinions, but they're ok with the help"

"I hear you've recently taken someone in from Nezu" the person said through the phone.
"That I have, but we are still waiting for the last signatures to be acquired"
"Ah, wait, I thought this was already done"
He sighs "if only it was that simple... the boy's birth mother has been refusing to cooperate. I'm trying to be patient, as I do not want this to go down a difficult road"
"Well, if you want him to be your son-by-law as well, you can always force the court to assist with that"
"Yes, and I likely will win, but I don't want them to have to be near that woman, for their own mental health"
"Ah, now I see... Please keep me updated, so I know when I can tell Melissa she now has a cousin!"
"Certainly! He absolutely adores learning, so both will likely spend hours disusing invention if left alone" he laughs.
"You know, we've stuck together for years now... and listening to you now, I know for sure that boy is doing you a lot of good. You will be an amazing father"
"Guess David, you will make this old man tear up"
"Hey, you always teased me about my baby girl, so now welcome to the awesome-dad club"
"I can just imagine the kid's embarrassment about hearing that"
"That just means are job was done right" he laugh "tell the kid I said hi, sorry I can't stay much longer"
"Nonsense, it was a delight hearing from you, now you and Mel take care"
