26. Crisis

"Hello Roma". Roma got up from her chair and went to her balcony. "I cannot hear you properly. Why are you whispering? " "I...... I'm in danger. Please help me." Sejal was sobbing. She had locked herself in bathroom and was crouching in front of the door. Roma's body immediately tensed up."What?" Roma grabbed her purse and started climbing down the stairs. "Where are you now?" Roma's bodyguards got alert when she was about to leave the home. "I'm at my home . Two men, possibly with guns are outside. They have not entered yet." "I'm coming, Sejal. Don't worry. I will call police." "Don't call police. They are powerful people. Police is under their control. Please distract them. They will kidnap me. Please." Roma paused. " Calm down. I will find some way. Lock yourself in a room. " "Hmm". Sejal started trembling. She remembered the time when she was kidnapped by Aryan. When she felt that she was finally free, Kabir kidnapped her again and threw her in Dubai. Thud! she heard someone entering her home. She covered her mouth to shut her cries.
Seconds later, she heard a police siren.

Next morning, Riddhima found her cabin unlocked already. The ever glaring Mrs Sharma was nowhere to be seen. She entered and what she saw shocked her. She cried out, "Help". Riddhima rushed to an unconscious Mrs. Sharma who was curled up into a ball on the floor. Her forehead was bleeding and her cheeks were red. It was obvious that she was slapped. Her cabin was soundproof so it was obvious that nobody heard a thing. The other medical staff rushed to her aid and Mrs. Sharma was taken to the hospital. Everybody went back to their work at hospital but Riddhima's cabin was being thoroughly checked by the police. The hospital owner was called too as it was clear that their receptionist was attacked. The cctv cameras were checked and it was found that nobody from outside is involved, somebody from their own hospital is responsible. Soon the news reached that, Mrs Sharma suffered a miscarriage and what was more shocking for everyone was that she accused Riddhima of attacking her.

Riddhima was sitting in a police station in front of a sluggish, short heighted man. "So, why did you attack her. Any jealousy?" Riddhima had a confident demeanor. "The cctv footage clearly shows that I was not there at the time of attack . You can't keep me convicted. I demand a lawyer." She knew that there was no evidence against her. She couldn't understand that just because of that woman's some own personal disliking to her, she accused her of her current condition. She will prefer to save culprit but wants to push a girl inside jail whom she even doesn't know well. The police man continued, "Mrs Sharma has given statement that you were trying to seduce her husband and when you couldn't succeed, you pushed her knowing very well that she was pregnant. " "Isn't it clear inspector that she is lying? Her husband was the one who was trying to harass me and he is the one who has abused her. She is trying to hide his acts. I was about to complain about him today in the morning. You can ask staff. "
"This woman attacked my wife, sir. " Riddhima turned around to see Mr. Sharma being brought inside the police station. "You were inside that cabin before Miss Riddhima , Sharma." The police man asked the wriggling man. "What are you trying to prove that I killed my unborn baby? I was there with my wife, to help her place some yoga mats before staff arrives. She was all well then." "Miss Riddhima, here says that you harassed her yesterday evening. " Mr. Sharma made a complete baffled expression. Riddhima couldn't believe the acting skills of this man. Like he was bearing all the tortures of the world. "I..... Liar.... Infact she started removing her clothes when I offered her a coffee. Somehow...." "Shut up! Stop this nonsense." Riddhima chucked out her phone. "Hello Natasha, Can you give me the manager's number? "

"Are you okay, Sejal? " Roma asked Sejal who was laying on her bed, with her hands under the pillow. "Yes. Thank you". "Who were they? I can help you. Raman have some high connections too. Papa can also help you." Sejal straightened up on the bed.
"They were men of Vansh Raisinghania " Roma brought a chair near Sejal's bed. "As in VR?" Sejal nodded her head and continued. "He is Riddhima's ex- husband. It is a complicated story. But I can tell you that Riddhima was abused emotionally in that marriage. His family had done fatal attacks on her. She loved him and he loved her too. But their relationship had turned toxic. She has divorced him now. They had a willing mutual agreement but now he is back to his sick ways. She was living in so much stress with him that she even suffered a miscarriage. He can't find her so he wants to use me to lure her back to his cage. " Roma was listening to Sejal with full attention. She felt bad that a lively girl like Riddhima had to go through so much. "Both of you came here in Goa, because of him?" "Hmm". "Have you called Riddhima?" "I have stopped calling her ever since he found me in Goa. " Roma sighed. She was in a fix now, VR was someone really powerful. It will not be easy to mess up with him. She really wants to help, but her own family's safety comes first."What have you told to police?" Sejal suddenly asked. "I told them that there was a robbery attempt at your house. The men fled before we reached here. Raman will take care of the police matter. " "I must have disturbed your family. " "Nonsense! You will come with me and stay with us till we find a solution. But don't tell Raman about Vansh. He also knows this as a robbery. " "You have been a great boss to me Roma. Thank you for everything you have done for me and Riddhima. But tomorrow I will leave Goa and I would be fine. Don't tell about this incident to Riddhima. " "But this is not a solution Sejal. He will find you again. " Roma exclaimed helplessly. "I know". Sejal said in a barely audible voice. "I will come from washroom." She excused herself.

Hairs messy with no shirt on, Vansh was moving his fingers fluidly on his piano. His eyes were closed and his lips curved in a small smile. The entrancing face of his Riddhima was appearing in his thoughts again. This time he was closer. He finally found her. She is in Delhi. His men are already keeping an eye on her. He will leave to meet her soon after completing his pending buisness tasks here. He didn't want to disappoint dadi again. He needed something more soothing than the sweet tune of his piano. His fingers pressed the number of Riddhima. He couldn't wait to hear her voice.

Riddhima was drinking coffee with Natasha in her apartment. She was tensed due to the recent drama in her hospital. She had talked to the manager. Although she managed to clear her name but the allegations against her would linger longer. Her colleagues already had a certain disliking towards her. Whether she will keep her job or not is also uncertain. Natasha suggested her to not file a complaint against Sharma in police as that will also drag hospital's name. She also didn't want that. Already she was more than thankful for everything. But what will happen if her job is lost? "I think your phone is ringing." "Yeah right." Riddhima moved towards her bedroom. "Riddhima, I must leave now. See you tomorrow. "

Riddhima picked her phone. Nobody was saying anything on the other side, so she kept mum. She cancelled the call. Just after few seconds, her phone rang again. It was Roma's incoming call. "Hello Roma? " Roma briefed her about all that happened with Sejal. Riddhima felt cold and infuriated. She was increasing the pressure on headrest of her chair. Her knuckles were already white. "She asked me to not tell you anything, Riddhima. She wants to leave Goa tomorrow." "Give the phone to her , please." Vansh was getting impatient. Her phone was constantly busy. She didn't speak a word when he called her earlier. Riddhima saw the incoming call of the same unknown number again. She put Roma's phone on hold and answered it. She waited with a bated breath. Nobody said anything again. "This is of no use , Vansh". Vansh heard her screeching voice and sighed. "Riddhima.......
