"What the hell are you doing down here? It's 2am."
Julian stood in the door-less frame between the living room and the hallway wearing nothing but a dark green pair of boxers.
Kimberly averted her eyes, looking up to his face instead, which didn't really help considering the fact that his messy hair and stubbly chin were giving her heart palpitations.
She lowered the volume on the tv until the words were inaudible as Julian came to sit next to her. As he rounded the couch, he could more clearly see Kimberly's long legs that were drove him crazy, especially in those tiny shorts she was wearing.
She brought her hands inside the sleeves of her sweatshirt, folding her arms across her chest for warmth.
"I couldn't sleep," She said, "And there are only two things that I do when I can't sleep. I figured this was the best option."
He raised an eyebrow at her, "And what was the other option?" He asked, his interest clearly piqued.
She bit her lip to keep from smiling as she looked away from him.
"Reading." She lied.
He chuckled, clearly aware of the fact that she was lying, but he didn't say anything. Leaning back onto the couch, he let out a loud sigh as he rested his feet up on the table in front of them.
"Turn up the volume, what are we watching?" He asked.
"Game of Thrones, the new season just came out this past week, you won't understand what's going on though." Kimberly brought her feet out to the table in a manner mimicking Julian's.
A smile played on his lips as he looked from Kimberly's legs to her face.
"How tall are you?" He asked.
"Five-eleven, why?"
His smile spread. "Just curious, you're as tall as you look."
"Pshh, what are you talking about? You're like six foot three."
"Five, actually."
Kimberly bit her cheeks to stop her smile as she turned her attention to a very scared Daenerys whose dragons no longer loved her.
"Why do you enjoy this stuff?" Julian asked.
Kimberly shrugged. "It's interesting, more so than my life at school so why not, you know?"
"Well your life must be pretty boring if watching tv alone is more interesting than actual living." He said.
Kimberly rolled her eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry, not all of us can be Melitta and have a bang buddy to keep us company."
He smiled. "Why not?"
"W-What?"
"Well she seems to have a good time, and her 'bang buddy' probably isn't nearly as talented as...others."
"Was that a come on?" Kimberly asked.
Julian scoffed, humor evident in his demeanor though. "Please, you're a child, that would be illegal."
"I'm eighteen, actually. We could have sex right now and you wouldn't even go to jail." She said.
"Was that a come on?" He asked.
"If it was it would be legal."
He bit his lip, holding back his smile. "I should go back to bed, got a long day tomorrow-or today I guess."
"It's Saturday, what's so important that you have to leave?" Kimberly asked.
He stood up, taking a deep breath. "It's more a question of what would happen if I didn't leave..." His gaze locked with hers, preventing her from looking away. His look was heavy and full of messages that she knew she wanted to decode.
