Nick's pov:

My brother and I finally arrived at the parade. Many people are there, but mostly there are young people with their flags around their shoulders some teenagers were singing songs about the LGBTQIA+ community. I could make out some of my friends from school and I felt even happier than before.

I tugged at the sleeve of my brother's jacket to show him, that I wanted to get into the crow. He understood and we both walked into the crow. A small boy stood next to me and he held a trans flag up and looked pretty happy about it.

"Hey, are you trans or are you a supporter of them?" I asked the boy, not wanting to offend him.

"Well, I am trans. My name is Lars." he smiled at me.

"That's cool. I never met a trans person in person." I smiled back and we talked a lot while we were walking to the destination of the parade. My brother walked next to us trying to understand the words a group in front of us was singing. Well, more like screaming instead of singing so they drowned out others.

3 person pov:

The parade was hosting more than 4 thousand people. At the side of them were walking and riding some police officers to keep it under control. You could see many flags in the parade. Every one of the community was represented. It was loud and out of every window of the houses were people waving out or holding flags to show their support. Children were playing tag in the parade, others were just singing or talking and some people at the back of the parade were holding up a burning trump flag. People with self-made dresses or costumes of the flags walked through the people.

In the front were some radio and TV reporters talking about the parade and showing the massive amount of people.

Nick's pov:

A police officer on a horse rid past us as I talked with Lars about how his parents took it all.

"Well, my parents were pretty chill about me being trans. But I think, that my mother was sad about losing her daughter. I mean she likes my new self, but she was so sad, that she sold every one of my dresses and dolls. She painted my room new, so she didn't have a reminder of past me." he shrugs before saying: "The only problem I have since then is my neighbor: a Karen. She always insults me and says that I'm a sinner. I mean she even says 'she' and 'her' to me on purpose. I hate her." he rolled his eyes and looked at me.

"Do you react to her when she calls you by your dead name?" I asked wondering what his dead name was.

"Well, I don't react anymore when she calls me Laura. It isn't that hard to ignore her. I mean, she is loud and annoying, but otherwise easy to ignore." he giggles at the sentence. "I have to introduce you to my friends at one point. You're a really funny guy. Can we exchange numbers?"

"Sure." I nod, giving him my phone, and he types in his number. He gives it back to me pulling out his phone and giving it. I type in my number and he texts me.

"My friends should be around here somewhere. If you want we can go look for them. I think, they are more at the top because I have stopped at one point to tie my shoes and didn't catch up to them later on." he stumbled over his words. He looked up at me and I just nodded.

I turned around to my brother and said that I was going with Lars to look for his friends. He nodded and I left walking behind Lars.

"What do you think of all this?" Lars asked without turning to me.

"Well, I think it is an opportunity to get to know new people who are like you or to be yourself without anyone judging you. I love this community for what it is." I answered truthfully. Lars looked up at me and smiled.

"You think so?" I nodded. "I think so too. How old are you? I feel like we never really introduced each other."

"I'm 16 Years old. You?"

"I'm 15." He said smiling. It looked so cute when he smiled, not that I fell for him. No, I thought more of a little brother of him than a person to love. It looked like he found someone because he took my arm and went faster toward a group of teenagers.

"Guys! Look who I found!" Lars stopped by a boy looking a little older than me.

"So, you fond a gay boy." the boy said.

"That's so cool!" a girl with short blond hair and a lesbian flag said.

"Well, yea. I thought he would fit well into our group." Lars said.

"Babe, stop dragging strangers to us. Afterward, we have to deal with them and you do nothing." The first boy said again.

"But I swear, he is nice. We talked a lot before I brought him here." Lars said again.

The girl with blond hair walked to me and looked me up and down before saying: "Hi, I'm Rosé."
