"Are you terrified?"

Gazing down into the widened eyes of the woman, Ezra queried.

The serene expression displayed across his face still, thinking Vera was scared to death.

However, the woman's shocked face replaced with a smile of delight which quieted down the man.

"I have prepared the worst even to be your wife, love. This is nothing to concern"

Shooting a wink at the man, Vera shrugged the matter off effortlessly.

Sending disbelief into Ezra.

What was this reaction? Shouldn't she be frightened to witness the scene?! Instead, she beamed?!

"Are you surprised, my lovely husband?" A chuckle escaped between the woman's lips.

Attracting the man's attention fully. Something was odd.

This woman was not normal for sure. "Your hand.." he requested.

And Vera handed her hand out. Slowly, Ezra put the ring on her ring finger while maintaining the eye contact.

"If there is anything you are hiding from me, this is the time for you to confess"

He allowed strangely.

Hushing down the woman entirely. He obviously was doubting her. It was clear enough.

"I have nothing to keep as secret from you. Don't worry, I won't stab your back"

Wearing the smile, Vera assured. Yet, the man did not respond for a few seconds. He stared into her eyes.

"You will be under six feet if you dare to stab my back"

A beam flashed across his face in an instant after. Warning the woman to be honest.

It sent shivers down Vera's spine wholly. How scary could he get?!

But she kept the smile on.

"Are you done with your little warning? I need to get ready for tonight's dinner party"

Vera mocked. The way she expressed courage truly amused the man. "He will send you back"

Ezra raised his right brow to point at the one who had been standing at distance. "Got it. Come back early"

Vera reminded before leaving. As she disappeared from the sight, Ezra fell into silence.

"What a strange feeling"

He let out a murmur and gazed down at the ring on his ring finger.

Like that the time passed by for the night to approach. "Master is waiting for you in the car, Mistress"

The butler of the house came to inform to the woman who was sitting in living room.

She had changed into sage colored v-neck dress.

It was strapped, showing off the beauty of her collarbones. The tight dress wrapped her curve perfectly.

The high heels gifted by Ezra completed the look along with night makeup look.

Vera looked beautiful as always.

The designer had reported she made the couple wore same colored clothes also.

Tonight, Diana would not attend the dinner party due to her health.

So the so called married couple was the only ones heading to there.

"Oh, I see!"

Vera flashed a grin. Seizing the purse, she promptly went after butler.

Getting into the car which her husband was waiting inside. "Thanks" she expressed gratitude to the man.
