a/n~ this chapter contains some gory details so if you aren't great with blood I would advise against reading this chapter

The cuts weren't deep, but they hurt.

Harry was trying to help by pulling the shards out but he was just making the pain worse.

'HARRY STOP!' I scream yanking his hand away from my foot.

The look on his face says it all, apologetic and worried. I knew he didn't want to hurt me, that would be the last thing he would want to do.

'I-I'm sorry babe I just'

'It's ok' I interrupted ' I know a way to get the glass out.'

'How, I don't want to hurt you again' He gently rubbed my shoulder, comforting me.

'I need to soak my feet in warm salt water. Can you grab a bucket or something and fill it with warm water and mix in some salt please.'

'Sure' he said as he stumbled out of the bathroom and jogged down the hallway.

He returned a few minutes later with the steaming water and I submerged my feet into the bucket.

'SHIT!' I cried as the water stung my cuts.

'Babe if it hurts just take your feet out!' Harry said quietly

It was when Harry started to rub my back that I remembered I was still... well lacking clothing because i trod on the glass as I was getting out of the shower.

'Har can you grab my towel please.'

'Yep'

He wrapped the towel around my back and over my shoulders as I hugged my knees, both feet still in the bucket.

***

20 minutes passed and I took my feet out of the bucket.

Harry was still sitting right beside me, trying to comfort me as best as he could.

He had sterilized a pair of sharp tweezers for me so we could use them to get the shards of glass out.

I looked at the bottom of my feet and the glass was closer to the surface than before, which will help when we take it out so we aren't digging in my foot.

'Babe grab the tweezers please and start pulling out the glass.'

'Uh o-okay. I just don't want to hurt you love' he looked at me with the softest eyes

'I need to get them out or I won't be able to go have lunch with mum'

'I'm sorry to say love but I highly doubt you will be seeing your mum for lunch. Do you want me to ring her and see if she can come around here?'

'Harry. This is one of the many reasons why I love you' I said smiling.

'I love you as well Shanna, but we need to get this glass out before we can do anything.'

***

Another 20 or so minutes passed and all of the glass was out.

Harry had swept up the mess in the bathroom and I was dressed and sitting on the lounge scrolling through Netflix.

The doorbell rung and Harry opened the door and before he could see who was there my mum was bolting past him and towards me.

Harry must've told her I cut my feet. Oh wait... Maybe he told her he proposed.
