The sun this day was brighter and yellowier than any other day and why wouldn't it? It was Haldi this day, of Akshara and Abhimanyu.

"Kairav, jaake dekh bade papa ne jis photographer ko bulaya tha woh aaya nahi abhi tak." Swarna, grandmother of Aarohi, step her foot into the hall which was scattered throughout with so many of things.

"Badi mumma...aap kyu itni tension le rahi hai. Abhi time hai. Relax. Mai dekhta hu." Kairav was instantly by her side giving her much needed assurance. He was not less than a real life hero to both of her sisters. The ideal brother.

"Swarna...hamare kade dekhe hai tumne? Pata nahi kaha rakh ke bhul gaye. Raat ko sone se pehle utaare the." Mimi, Aarohi's grand-grandmother and mother of Manish and Akhilesh Goenka aka AG came out worried.

"Arre maaji..aapne mujhe hi toh diye the sambhalne ko. Mere room me rakhe hai woh."

"Acha acha...budhaape me yaadhasht kamzor hoti jaa rhi hai."

"Tumne baaki sab check kar liya hai na AG? Kuch bacha toh nahi hai?" Manish and AG joined them discussing the other necessities.

"Nahi bhaisahab sab theek hai. Bas..." AG started but was cut off in between by Kairav.

"Bas photographer nahi aa sakta. Uska abhi call aaya..kuch emergency aa gayi hai usse.."

"Hey bhagwan..ab kya karna hai?" Mimi was immediately worried as she sat back on the couch holding her head.

"Maaji aap baith jaiye. Ye sab hai na..kuch na kuch dekh lenge." Swarna aslo sat beside her making her calm.

"Haa mimi...when Vansh is here, why do you care!" Vansh, the cousin brother of Aarohi came to the rescue much needed.

"Haa Vansh toh hai.." AG smiled proudly looking at him while the other also felt relieved.

"Isme ye kya karega!!" Mimi was still not convinced with what he tried to insinuate.

"Arre maa..Vansh ko bhi to photography aati hi hai.. professional nahi hai par usse Kam bhi toh nahi hai..kar lega na Vansh." Manish came forward patting Vansh's back who nodded back at him.

"Hanji tauji. Don't worry." Vansh looked at Kairav before continuing. "Par lightings ka dekhna padega..Kairav?"

"Uski problem nahi hai. Samaan pehle hi aa gaya tha toh we can use them."

"Chalo phir. Perfect."

"Hnn. Bas sab aise hi ache se ho. Thu thu thu." Mimi doing the usual nazar-na-lage thing.
.....

"Dikha..." Aarohi made Akshara turn whom she only had decked up a while before and now was looking for the results of her hardwork.
"Perfect." She grinned glancing the aftereffect glowing at her sister's face.
"Dr. Aarohi logo ka check up aur makeup perfect hi karti hai."

"Nahi yaar Aaru..ye kya kiya hai tune." Akshara cribbed as soon as she glanced at her readyself in the mirror.

"Kya ho gaya? Acha toh lag rha hai.."

"Nahi ye liner dekh..iss aankh ka mota hai aur iska patla..aur dekh ye toh lamba bhi hai."

"Chup reh Akshu...sab sahi hai. Faaltu nuks nikal rahi hai tu."

"Yaar Aaru aise acha thodi lagega mai apne function pe aise uneven eye makeup ke saath jaungi."

"Ek kaam kar tu kisi aur se puch le. Mai abhi thodi der me aa rhi hu. Agar tab bhi uneven laga toh ...kar dungi theek. Ok?"
.....

As Aarohi walked out of the room she couldn't help but think about the same function happening but for her and not Akshara. It had started feeling suffocating to be in that room, decking her sister up for someone who she was supposed to be married once a time.
How everything just changes within a blink of an eye.
