As she closed the door behind them and looked at the young man in front of her, it occurred to her that she had done wrong. What is she supposed to do now? She wanted to talk to him, somehow change his opinion... She passed a wide wooden dresser by the door and sat down on the edge of the bed, gently patting the place next to her. Dabi stared at her in amazement, and although they were in his own room, a place where he always felt comfortable, he didn't know what to do with himself. He thought that since it had gotten this far, he should at least let her finish. The girl evoked strange emotions in him. From the very first moment, she was so… sincere and joyful. She didn't really seem to see the scars on his body, but she did call him BBQ when he mocked her…
"I know it's not your problem, but I love it here and I would like to live with you guys. We started all wrong, Dabi... But if you can't tolerate me, I'd better call it off." She looked into his eyes with her full of hope. The whole situation was uncomfortable and strange. He looked at her after a moment and reached into one of the drawers. He took out a white T-shirt and reluctantly walked over to the bed. The young man took a deep breath and finally sat down.
"It bothers me that you care so much just not to offend me." After these words, he took off his grey turtleneck showing the girl his torso. His slender fingers ran over the staples on his chest. A scar that started on his face ended just below the neck, but a few inches away, another scar began covering most of his chest and abdomen. As he put on the T-shirt, he intentionally showed her his back, which was in the same state. The teenager looked the man in the eyes, having no idea what he meant. A hint of anger ran across his face again.
"See? You do it again!" He said resentfully, hid his face in his hands and rubbed his eyes in resignation.
"Stop pretending you can't see it!" Then she finally realized that all this time Dabi couldn't believe that his appearance didn't bother her. She thought it was enough when she said it for the first time in the living room. She looked at him with pity, which upset him even more.
"Do you really think something like this can shock me? You think I don't have scars?"
"Are you blind?" He spat out furiously. This was too much for Cremorah. She raised a hand in his direction, and before he could protest, she took his sight from him.Dabi jumped in panic.
"Are you fucking crazy!? Give me my eyesight back!" The girl grabbed his hand and made him sit still. He had never been so vulnerable before, and it ran pure anger through his veins. He pushed her hand aside fiercely and was about to get up, but at the last moment, he composed himself. He was blinded, there wasn't much he could do. Before he knew it, Cremorah shifted closer and stroked his back soothingly. It might not have been the best idea, after all, she had blinded him. What made things worse, they barely knew each other, but somehow she managed to calm him down. She whispered soothing phrases until she was sure that Dabi was not going to hurt her and when his breathing returned to normal, she asked
"What colour are my eyes?" The man's eyebrows knitted together. He looked like he wasn't going to be part of it, but then he cleared his throat and replied.
"Green." The girl gently squeezed his hand.
"Okay, now my hair." Cremorah chuckled softly as Dabi rolled his eyes. The answer came quickly.
"Brown.""What can you see when I speak?" At that moment, he thought for a bit longer. His imagination painted various pictures in front of him, mostly warm and cosy. He talked about pleasant and peaceful things like drinking tea on the porch, fresh dew on the grass, baking a cake, or reading a book by the fireplace. When he finished, he sensed the girl was standing in front of him, and not long after he heard her say
"Remember this." It wasn't long before he regained his sight. She was standing in front of him, lifting her blouse to the line of her bra. In shock, he studied the huge scars on the girl's belly. The cuts looked like a spider's web and were very deep. The lower part disappeared behind the material of slightly sticking out underwear.
