Ernesto Cazal
Father of Isabel, Angelica, Raquel and Alfonso and successively husband of Imelda and Carlina.
He is a farm worker born to parents already working on the estate. Rodrigo d'Almondara knew him when they were children. His human and professional qualities naturally placed him in the post of foreman and earned him the consideration of Rodrigo d'Almondara.
Imelda Cazal (Ortiz)
Wife of Ernesto, mother of Isabel, Angelica and Raquel. Her knowledge of herbs and their medicinal use gives her the status of healer in the village of workers in the Cuevas-Blancas estate. She died in her twenty-fifth year.
Isabel Cazal
Eldest daughter of Ernesto and Imelda and sister of Angelica, Raquel and half-sister of Alfonso. Childhood friend of Diego d'Almondara, whom she secretly loves. Daughter of Ernesto and Imelda and sister of Angelica, Isabel and half-sister of Alfonso.
Carlina Cazal (Gomez)
Second wife of Ernesto, mother of Alfonso. Maid and confidante of Elvira d'Almondara, but also neighbor and friend of Imelda and Ernesto, she becomes the stepmother of Isabel, Angelica and Raquel whom she already knew from childhood. and gives birth to a baby boy: Alfonso.
Sebastian

Dolores
Maid in the hacienda of the masters of Cuevas-Blancas, she takes care of the household, the maintenance of the rooms, the sewing and the little housework. She is also assigned to heavy work such as laundry and window washing as well as occasional childcare.
