GABRIELLA POV:

As we got closer to him my heart pounded roughly against my chest

Each step closer I took felt like a step closer to death's doors

" Mr de' bardi it's so nice to see you again" dad cheered extending his hand

"Please, call me Diego Mr. Rivera"

"Then please call me Alfonso"

"It's nice to see you again Alejandro," Diego said shaking ale hand

"A pleasure as always Diego"

Diego greeted all my brothers and once it was my turn I gulped nervously but kept my composure

We just stared at each other for a couple of seconds but those couple of seconds felt like hours

I ripped my gaze away from him and extended my hand

"Mr de' Bardi it's a pleasure to see you again"

A flash of hurt flashed through his eyes but soon it was gone

"It's a pleasure as well Principessa" he smirks

I shoot him a glare

He knows I hate being called princess

"You look Bellissima" he compliments

Suddenly soft music starts playing and couples began to take the floor

"May I have this dance?" Diego asks extending my hand

I froze on the spot

I look over to my father and I see him nod

"Of course, "I say through gritted teeth

I give him my hand and unlike when I held Ilyas, Diego's hand felt warm

As Diego put one of his hands on my waist and the other holding my hand. I put my hand on his shoulders and the other in his hand

"What are you doing?" I whisper shout at him

"I just wanted to dance" Diego shrugged

"Then you should've asked someone else I have stuff to do"

"Like what?"

I kept quiet because, in reality, I had nothing to do

"How have you been?" he asked

I've been good"

"Not gonna ask how I've been?" he teases

"No, I don't care" I shrug

We quietly dance after that but once we were about to talk again I felt someone tap my shoulder

When I turn around I see cassie and she whispers

"It's time"

I suck in a breath

It's finally time...

"You'll have to excuse me Mr de'bardi I must go with my family now"

Before Diego could say anything I was already walking over to the stage

"Omg, you two danced together? What did you talk about? Did he ask you first? He did you never ask first, but how was it?" cassie said bombarding me with questions

"Nothing happened we just danced that's it"

"Mhm sure from the looks of it both of you looked like a normal couple"
