When you pretend to be dead for a month

So basically you went out on a mission that ended up being a lot deeper than you were expecting but in order to do that the Hokage sent you undercover over the time span of a month and you couldn't tell anyone.

Boruto-
"[Name]! No! Come back.. please" he woke up in cold sweat the nightmare of 'your death' constantly replaying in his head traumatising the hell out of the once loud blonde as his mother, hinata came in to comfort him once again now used to his nightly scares yet his father stood at the door guilty looking and wondering how he could've gotten so attached to someone

Waking up from another nightmare he was surprised when it wasn't his mother who came in this time.. it was you but him being him he thought it was a hallucination, but can you really blame him? He'd been running a fever for the past couple of days either way "don't go.. this is all my fault.. please stay with me or.." he continued as you shushed him gently rubbing his back and he continued to choke on his words til he fell asleep

Shikadai-
'What could I have done for this not to happen..' he thought to himself as he cried and shook violently while sitting on the floor leaning against the wall. His best friend, Boruto wondering about what he could do or atleast say before just throwing caution to the wind and facing the inevitable "Shikadai I'm gonna leave this to you, you'll get over it sooner or later and back to your normal self wholeheartedly eventually." He grumbled refusing to show the fact that he was just as upset leaving the room

He continued looking through the photos he had of the two of you, all month he hadn't been on alt missions cause he was too unstable. They brought you back earlier for that reasoning just to make sure no influencing or damage to his usually not as lazy mentality that he kept could be done. He noticed the door had opened but didn't look up knowing he would be disappointed but instead covered himself with the blankets more until noticing the new source of bodily warmth next to him practically jumping as he pulled you into a huge hug words jumble and filled with confusion

Mitsuki-
"You left? Yet you promised that we would be together even when times got tough" he mumbled to himself under him breath walking out of the village

He wasn't there.

Denki-
"[Name] I love you.." You always find a way to worry this boy that it got to the point where he would go to 'your grave' every day of the month just to cry and apologise for not being there yet he still felt that you were out there somewhere in the back of his mind. It got so dangerous for him and everyone around him to the point where he had to be sworn to secrecy to avoid another sasuke incident where the runs off and not only hurts himself but everyone else who cares for and loves him as well

He waited at the gate every day no matter how weird it would have seemed to anyone else that one day he just switched by being all emotional at your grave to the slight glimmer of hope in his eyes til you finally took your first step inside the village immediately clinging onto you before backing up scanning you for no injuries then squeezing you tight yet again "why.." he started but you cut him off as the two of you kept walking towards the Hokage's office not wanting to cause a scene until you got to the training grounds away from everyone and finally began to cry together holding onto each other as if you'd lose one another if you let go "why did you do that" he kept sniffling from how stuffy his nose was "without any hesitation.. how could it have been so easy for you.." he started until you began crying harder and he just dropped it settling on the theory or nobody having a choice what type of missions were assigned to them

Kawaki-
"I was so mean to you.." he started off as he held 'your body' in his arms tightly "yet you still loved me" he continued towards the village after a group of you had been sent on a mission together for the reason of if he hadn't been there when you 'died' he wouldn't have believed anything and continued to go rampaging on his way to trying to find you, don't worry it was just a substitution jutsu

Just as you were being unannounced as dead and came out of the office building he practically suffocated you to death with a deathly gripping hug scanning your face, one that looked like it had been to hell and here again "you were one of the ones who actually believed I could be something.. but I couldn't even save you from your own death.. even if it was just fake"

Iwabe-
"I never got to say I love you or goodbye" he said as he rubbed his now blurred eyes leaning over your casket, his breath caught in his throat at the mere thought of the damage that had been caused on your body being so bad that you had to have a closed casket funeral

"I miss you" he muttered to nobody in particular staring blankly Ito space until he got a response and was met with a hug from behind

Inojin-
"I'm so lost.." he said laying on the grass where the two of you used to always hang out just staring at the sky "I know you're gone yet I still can't help hallucinating about you.." he whispered to himself quietly as the wind blew "are you really gone.. please just give me something.. say something! Anything!" He yelled

"You idiot why did you have to leave" he said hugging onto you tightly as you just walked around doing the things that you would usually do any other day yet he still whined about how you should be home where he is just resting cause you just came back from a long and dangerous mission, the least he could do was hold your stuff
