Ryder's Point Of View

I yawn as I get up from some cushions on the floor. I scratch my head and look around, taking a second to remember where I was. I grab my puppad and check the time. 9:00 AM it read. 'That midnight emergency made me oversleep.' I think to myself as I hear a door open. Katie comes out of her room and looks over at me.

"Goodmorning, sleep well?" She asks.

"Fair enough," I say as stretch.

"Well, I'll go see the two pups before my morning routine." She says.

"I guess I'll go with you, then, I'm going back up to the lookout to check the others," I say as I follow her to the pup's room.

"I'm sure Chase has kept them in line." She reassures as she opens the door.

The two were sleeping peacefully, out cold you could say. They were both facing each other. I guess they spoke a word or so before they went back to sleep.

"Now that they are rested up, I think I should tell them their injuries," Katie says as she grabs some papers off a nearby table.

She goes and turns off the lamp and walks between them.

"Goodmorning you two sleepy heads." She said in a raised volume to wake them.

Rocky opens his eyes and slowly lifts his head.

"Morning." He says in a dull voice and soon after yawns.

Gasket shifts around for a few seconds before yawning and also opening her eyes.

"Sleep well?" I ask the two.

"I slept alright." Rocky states before looking over at Gasket.

"Best for my circumstances." Gasket says.

"Well, that's good, now that you two have rested, I will go over your injuries," Katie says as she walks over to Rocky. "You alright with her here?

"She's fine," I reply

"Alright, That piece of metal over there on that table, Struck you on your side and hooked onto your skin, similar to a fishing hook. It struck hard but it luckily didn't break any ribs. That was the largest injury you had. The other ones were minor cuts and burns. Though I keeping you here for another six days to make sure that the trauma you received to your side isn't going to cause anything unexpected to happen." Katie finishes.

Rocky nods but looks slightly confused.

"Didn't we fall?" Rocky asks. "I vaguely remember falling."

"You did," I reply. "But Marshall was quick with his landing pad."

"Well tell him thanks," Rocky says as Katie walks over to Gasket.

"You alright with those two in here?" Katie asks.

Gasket takes a long look between Rocky and me before answering. "They're fine."

"Alright." Katie begins. "You have fractured both your right paws and your chest sustained Noteworthy scrapes and cuts. The rest are minor. Luckily, I see no signs of any major trauma. So you will be available for release in 3 days. Though the proper crutch for your injury isn't here, I ordered them but they won't be here for another week and a half. So unless you want to be put in a bed somewhere else, your going to have to stay here until the crutch arrives."

She sighs and nods before Katie places her papers back on the table.

"Well, that's what I had for you two," Katie says. "Would you both like something to eat?"
