Porsche
I took two heavy bags of trash out to the backyard of the building. The air smelt of decayed debris. There was a drunk man staggering with their lover and making out in the dark. The sounds they made really annoyed me.
"Get a room!" I yelled.
Then I remembered I wasn't too perfect either. I had just lied to that guy about my name.
Jom?
Haa. What a fake name.
From the look on his face I could tell he was not having fun with me. He maintained a straight face the time. I wonder what he was thinking.
What if he comes here again and find out my real name?
He will send his boys after me. His is Kinn after all.
But what had he done to the rival gang? Kinn seemed calm, and humble. He didn't look like the guy who could hurt an ant.
Everyone knew his father was mean and strict, but he was well protected so I guess he was the nicer one in the family.
Sort of. I don't know. I have never seen a well ripped, handsome mafia guy before.
Man, this job was difficult than I anticipated.
My emotions was all over the place. I glanced at my wrist watch. It was five minutes past eleven midnight.
I was conflicted.
Save Kinn and damn the consequences or lose Kinn and never see him again.
The later scared the shit out of me.
No. I rushed back to my spot at the bar. Luckily Kinn just gulped down the last contents of his glass. He was about to leave his chair.
I grabbed him slightly on his right elbow, leaned close enough for him to hear me.
"I think you need to leave," I blurted out.
His response threw me off balance.
First off, he pulled his arm aggressively from my grip. He coiled his bushy eyebrows and twitched his jawline.
"And why should I listen to you?"
The screeching noise of vans driving into the premises caught my attention. I was at full alert.
"Look I don't have time for your tantrums. You will thank me later," I said convincingly.
I intertwined my fingers with his and dragged him along the back corridor of the bar. We walked through a hallway, took a flight off stairs down and burst through the garage.
While he glared at me in confusion, gunshot banged in the air. We both dropped to the ground, our heads almost bumping each other.
I panicked. I honestly felt the need to protect this man at all cost. What was I even doing? I searched my pockets.
"Here take the keys to my bike. It's over there. Wear the helmet, you will escape quickly."
Kinn narrowed his eyes as if he was reading my mind.
"I'm serious. Go!" I yelled.
"Why are you helping me?"
I paused. That was really a good question. But I didn't have time to give a coherent explanation.
"I just don't want to see your pretty face get damaged." I managed to smile.
"I will reward you for this."
"Oh Ok. Just go already." I said looking over my shoulders.
Kinn collected the keys and made his way to the corner where I parked my bike. I made sure he rode off before I hurried back into the bar.
I was relieved knowing Kinn was safe. At least I could defend myself with my fighting skills.
The whole bar was already a chaos when I got back. Broken bottles, dismantled chairs and tables and groaning customers. The men had ransacked every room and corner searching for Kinn I guess.
"Where is he?" the husky voice of their round head boss bellowed at me.
Three minions circled the exit area blocking me from escaping.
"I think we can settle this amicably. You see I just went to take a leek in the toilet, and he was right here."
"You're talking shit!" the oldest of the minions spat in my face. Then he threw the first punch on my chin.
The punch was so hard it burst my lips. These men were ruthless.
I didn't want to fight but now that they started this, I might as well return the favor.
I leaped in the air and gave the man a round kick to his head.

Kinn
I drove to a distance away from the building to a safe place and stopped the bike.
What was the probability that a random man would hold my hand and drag me out to ensure my safety in the whole of Thailand where everyone was my enemy?
Zero. No-one would do that for me.
I narrowed my eyes as I still tried to make sense of what just happened. Not to mention the incessant beating of my heart.
This random guy is giving me the feels. And why would he do that so effortlessly?
He didn't want my pretty face to get hurt?
Did he actually say that? I almost blushed but I had to maintain my power and not fall for silly compliments.
My phone buzzed in my suit pocket. I slid the screen and answered.
"Oh my god, we just got information that the bar was busted by gangs. Boss are you alright?"
It was the excited voice of Big, who my father pays to actually protect me.
"Where are you?" I asked annoyed.
"We went home after the drinks, I was exhausted from stress. Where are you let me come pick you up."
I rolled my eyes in frustration. "You are supposed to be by my side but you would allow a total stranger protect me, huh?"
"Boss, are you safe, just mention their names and I will come fight them now."
I sighed. "Never mind. Just look into this attack. I want to know who is behind it."
"Yes sir."
I slid the phone to my pocket. I thought about the bar guy. It would be dangerous to return their bike at this time. I hoped he was safe though.
I will get his reward ready. He deserved some gifts to encourage him to keep being nice. Who knew.
I started the bike and rode into the distance.
